opinions on this Heroic Mannorath strat

So was wondering what people thought about this strat for P4:

For gaze, you basically just let the 3 gazes die, then everyone stack with tank for the push back. When I did this with a pug it went extremely well. Is this actually a decent strat or not? Was planning on having our guild try it because we will be coming up on HC Mannorath in the coming week. Obviously for a guild run, we will have our disc priest put 3x shields on them. But I think this is pretty viable.. thoughts?

    Not viable.
You can try to fit me in a box, only to see me burst out of it.

Why would you do that when you can just have range catch the three gazes and use the pools to ensure no one dies from push-back? You really aren't saving anything by letting three people die for no reason.

Collapsing to the tank prior to push-back is obviously how you do that part... but why would you let three people die when you can easily save them and get back to tank in time.

Yeah, you don't want to do that. It a pretty simple fight.

P1: Kill right Add around circle til you get to left add, kill him.
P2: bring Mannaroth to spot were left add was located and turn him toward center of room
P2 everyone else: Stand behind boss, let gazes push you into pillar. Move out of way of felseeker circle, Kill adds
P3: Continue p2 strategy for dealing with stuff. Shadowforce bounce into pillar....
P4: Keep boss in same position, All of raid except tanks move to left side of boss.
P4 - Gaze: 1-2 people step in circle with gaze target to create smallest frost patches possible.
P4 - Shadowforce: everyone get pushed through frost patches, run back to boss
P4 - Knockback: Run back in, don't charge else you will hit a second wave
    Kill boss.

I don't understand the point of sacrificing 3 people.

Youn's strat is probably the most popular. But you can even just have a bunch of people eat those gazes and then use the frost to prevent the group from being pushed off and then run to Mann's other side.

It's pretty easy once everyone knows not to get 1 shot by standing in front of the boss when you're not supposed to.

The only time we sacrficied people was the second empower gaze iin p4. Boss should be under 5% by that point and if the gaze person can immune it then great if not then rip in pepperoni. The good news is life gets better with gear. Last night we zerged him down to .8% beforegaze in p4. Next week we won't even have to deal with one lol

You sacrifice them so you can just ignore the white circles, then stack with the tank for the push back so people don't fly off the edge. And if you have a coordinated group. You can just have a disc priest shield them and they will survive but you assume they will die. We had 1/2 the raid fly off the edge every attempt until we started doing this

No one ever figured out the frost patch slows the push-back?

Yeah, but a lot of the raid had piss poor positioning and fell off the edge anyways. Either way, from what people are saying sounds like it's a pug-only start and shouldn't be used in guilds. Guess we will switch it up for our next kill to the standard strat.

It seems you're talking about P4, where it's a perfectly viable strat if you have a large number of people. This is especially true for the second set of Gazes when the boss should be close to dying.

If you only have like 10 people, though, giving up 3 will have a larger impact on your raid. It's another mechanic in the instance that doesn't properly scale with raid size.

Just toss a Raid mark to the left side of the boss while he is facing the center. About 10 yards out from his side. Tell everyone in phase 4 to stand on that mark. Assuming you tanks don't turn the boss to face you, when the wave goes out it only knock back the tank.

Then 3 will get with gaze.. As they slowly walk away from the group just make sure 1-2 people are in each circle with them. All will survive. This will leave the perfect amount of frost behind the standing place of the raid. When shadowforce pushes everyone back.. They will easily be able to be forced into the frost and slowed all the way down.

You don't even need to get pushed through the white stuff in phase 4 if you get a stampeding roar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx9hJUD6jdA Real simple

Just have hunters and mage alone go soak the gaze in last phase with immunities.

Youn's strat is probably the most popular

No just save the 3 people and then do the part with the tank it works fine. No point letting 3 people die when u can save them with no real ill effects. The fight ends far before the white stuff takes up the room, hellfire see's to that
