So seems like Smoke Bomb will be removed for Outlaw and Sin, and for Sub it is a PvP talent(and the last one to be available).
Am I the only one annoyed by this?
Smoke Bomb is very useful, at least for our guild.
Why would they remove it(for 2 specs) and make in a PvP talent??
Because Blizz seems determined to remove group utility from Rogues from a PVE and PVP point of view in Legion. They also removed Shroud of Concealment and gave Mass Invisibility to mages. Go figure.
They reworked classes to fit their "fantasy". Skills that doesn't make sense have been removed/reworked. How can a rogue mass stealth a whole raid? Doesn't seem right, but mass invis does.
Smoke Bomb should've never been made into a raid cooldown. That's not what Rogues were and what they should be. It's an amazing change.
What was wrong with Smoke Bomb as a group utility for PVE?
Even assuming your fantasy point of view why isn't smoke bomb baseline for Sub Rogues. It has been made into a PVP talent on the last tier, and last coloumn of the PVP tree?

Does internal bleeding work even if the target is immune to stuns?
A developers guide to legion, class balance version:
- Remove baseline abilities
- Remove talents
- Re-distribute abilities across two separate talent tree's, one of which can only be used for PVP combat.
- Sell it to the players as "Interesting decisions".
- Profit
Irritating that Smoke Bomb is deemed PVP only. Not even for the forced utility it was given, but for the uses I find with smoke bomb in general play. It's an interesting ability, forcing line of sight.
Hey guys, I am wondering what will be the Outlaw rotation?
Saber Slash to gain combo points, Pistol Shot when it procs, keep Slice and Dice up and Run Through as finisher. Did I get it right?

Like Ula said, they are removing baseline abilities as they scramble to fill talent trees.
I don't have high hopes for this expac. For the first time I won't prepurchase or even buy at launch. I'll wait a month or two so I don't get burned again.
Blizzard has gotten enough of my money, they're gunna have to work for it this time and taking iconic abilities away just so specs can be different is not winning me over.

If you are remotely excited about the Rogue changes in Legion. Do not read MMO-Champion forum threads based on said changes.
Honestly I think if I listened to the pessimism in this thread I'd quit gaming entirely. At the start it was all the QQ about the demon hunter, then prophecies about there being no changes at all to rogue - morphed into "omg I don't want to be a pirate" into more pessimism about every change going forward, as if nothing is changing.
It's like watching kids complain they got iPads for Christmas. Horrible.
Honestly, i'd complain like a mofo if i got an ipad for xmas.
HOWEVER those traits, hot DAMN those traits. Assassination gets the ring proc effect, sub gets 20 sec added onto shadow blades...i forget what was special on outlaw, but all i could think each time was DAMN DAMN DAMN.
i'm excited, it's icing on my cake.
