Mage and the possibility of new specializations in Legion

Hello, so after seeing the reveal for Legion and more specifically the change they made to Hunters (making Survival a melee spec). Is it possible we'll see one of the mage specializations remade in to a melee / ranged hybrid? Battle-mage?

I don't want to come across like one of our mods but it's just so that discussion won't be dispersed as much as it has been on an interesting topic (before crushing reality sets in).

It's a pity we can't get the two threads I linked merged, they seem to be having the same conversation in two separate locations.

For the last time guys we're not going to be getting a new spec, I would be extremely surprised if even any more specs than the three they have already talked about get a significant rework.
They will only do so many of those at a time, and only to specs that direly need it.

There are cases for kit reworks for Fire, as well as both Shaman DPS specs, but not a change of role identity.
