During the height of their popularity, I found bronies to be quite pushy about MLP. They'd shove it everywhere possible. No wonder even 4chan was sick of their shit and put them in an echo chamber so everyone else wouldn't have to be annoyed.
i certainly don't hate ponies/bronies, i've watched some MLP myself and enjoyed it. not amazingly great and worthy to devote my life to its praise by any means, but entertaining enough.
but what i personally can't stand is people who are supposedly very devoted to the show and/or the brony community, yet seem to behave in ways that definitely do not match the values promoted by said show/community at all: like pretty much every show that's mainly targeted at children, MLP is all about kindness, tolerance, generosity, forgiveness, and so on. and the phrase "we'll love and tolerate the shit out of you!" is so often used by that community for a reason.
so when someone with a pony avatar/signature constantly acts in an intolerant, close-minded, selfish, arrogant, insulting or straight up hateful manner (regardless of context) it really rubs me the wrong way :[
and as it tends to be the case with large/broad communities, these (likely very few) bad apples are often the ones that stand out most to any outside observer.
iirc, ponies are actually used in lotr as hobbit-horses as it were, at least in the books :D
i'm pretty sure the vast majority of people who identify themselves as brony are not crazy enough to fit that kind of definition :P
why do you care about what grown adults do to get off?As for furries, they are the same thing. Grown adults dressing up as cute little animals with a fetish of animal porn.
that's a nice comparison. and like those movies you mentioned, MLP (at least from the 2nd season onwards) also includes some elements that are clearly targeted at that adult audience, like character references and jokes that no child would get.
whaaaat? nah, people would never do that!Personally I think people just love to find strange things to hate and cast out
MLP does contain references that are clearly targeted at adult viewers (although probably not in the same quantity and frequency as pixar/disney movies).

Why internet hates anything? Because internet. Seriously. Kids trying to be cool. It's not cool to like things unironically these days.
The night is dark and full of terrors...
I love the fat neckbeard fedora-wearing bronies.
Dude, the evidence is all over the internet. I've seen plenty of videos of them. If you really want I'll post a video showing how creepy bronies are.
Here you go a perfect example:
And that's just one of many. Granted, they may not all be like this but they're out there. Then you wonder why so many people make fun of bronies and are so creeped out by them.

I don't, I really don't, I'm simply answering the OPs question. I don't care if you're MLP lunatic or like to dress up as a dumb animal but the question was what is the internet's problem with ponies and I answered.
