    Are feminine guys increasing worldwide?

By feminine I don't mean homosexuals. I mean guys of any sexuality who are perhaps a little camp or in general seems more feminine e.g. emotional, interest in cosmetics, keen interest in fashion, etc.

Personally I don't really see an issue To each their own i'm just curious if it's occurring because of supply and demand (women wanting men to be more feminine), media influence (meterosexual celebrities) or just a natural change in what's socially accepted in men? What's your opinion

Gender roles in general are somewhat less rigid.

    It's a fad.

I have several teachers in my family which have been teaching for several decades and they have seen the fads come and go. The current one is to have all those genders and what not, even at young ages where you don't even understand what that would mean.

People do stuff for attention. It has always been like this.

In the recent years it has been shown to inhibit the male hormone testosterone, men with low levels of testosterone are much more passive and far less aggressive, exactly how a crazed agenda based government might want them. It may be highly likely that over the years of scientific research we are certainly consuming many more inhibitors or it is being added as one of the chemicals to our drinking waters that are made to affect the male human population but less likely to affect the female human.
Another possibility may be that our foods are so toxic riddled with antibiotics, hormones and chemicals that are surely cancerous and toxic might be having an adverse affect on women making them far more aggressive and men are staying normal but the balance is clearly uneven at this point.
It could be a combination of the many carefully selected toxins and chemicals put into our water supply so that it affects us whether we eat clean or not, whether we drink the water or not.

Masculinity goes in and out of style. People can be inspired to follow or buck trends based on current social climate, especially at the points in their lives where they are yearning for acceptance and finding themselves.

That's certainly some paranoia right there

Attention? I'm glad I have friends who accept that I'm emotional and that I don't want to abide to masculinity just because I'm a man. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy carpenting and a good beer, but I also do enjoy fashion.

It's not about attention, it's about letting people be who they are without being condemned because they're not abiding to traditional gender roles.

Yes. I mean equality is a thing now, there's not a world war going on, men aren't expected/raised to be manly men and we don't have to go smith some swords while the wife cares for the children... As we evolve as a species and rely less on the manly men being well manly they are more free to embrace there humanity I suppose... That being said, you send me back to the dark ages I doubt i'll survive 10min so you know, it was a requirement due to circumstance back then a requirement that is no longer needed.

These kids today with their hair and their loud music. Back in my day, men were men! Or something.

Seriously, though, I don't have any problem with people experimenting with gender roles until they find something that works for them. I'm certainly not shaving off all my body hair, but if some other guy wants to do it then go for it.

Pretty much this. OP seems to be on a roll with these sorts of threads today.

I'm a very feminine guy (in a way, not really), mostly in closet because it wasn't accepted when I was a child and I'm trying to break the habbits of feeling bad whenever I act naturally as opposted to how I am expected to act. Basically, I think their increased exposure in the medias have shown it's more okay than what you've been told earlier in your life which cause more to be themselves which also means there are more acceptance for it because it's more natural, which just further increase that feminine guys can feel comfortable being themselves.

Than let people abide to traditional gender roles, without condemming them.

Does it matter? Let people be people. Fuck gender roles.

Yes. The 90's had a pretty significant impact on the people now entering their tweens and thirties.

    I did not say otherwise?

Well, the historical trend is that the better off things are, the more feminine the men are. Presumably because masculinity isn't something people enjoy that much, but that tends to be necessary to keep you safe from outside threats.

Then what usually happens is that that civilization falls, conquered by cultures lead by more stereotypically aggressive males, who later, after having eliminated all contemporary outside threats to themselves, also begin to feminize.

Maybe if we're lucky, we'll live long enough to get to see this cycle repeat itself again.

"Be who you want to be...as long as it doesn't offend me"

the spectrum of humanity regarding the variances between femininity and masculinity that reside within any given Human Being go far beyond what you have perceived via social media and entertainment, those types of outlets tend to skew data to one extreme or another. The fact is that every person on this planet was born of a male and a female to which they were given estrogen and testosterone in varied degrees and that is who they are and for you or anyone to decide for them differently is the truest form of arrogance. All that we can do as a society is to help one another to step back and take a breath when we cross the line into perversion.

There isn't a femanine bone in my body, and my son is the exact same way. I have no idea why feminism in men is rising, I really don't care either...
