I wonder if al-jazeera's forums are filled with idiots endlessly boring each other about the history of the colonialism in the west or american genocide/slavery.
Well since it was the Dutch who started the Atlantic slave trade, and slavery existed before The United states was a Country, but a British Colony. Oh and lets not forget the vast majority of the slaves from the Atlantic slave trade were shipped to South America and the Caribbean, something like 4.2 million vs the 350,000 shipped here. How easily they forget the Slave trade was European.

    Why would anyone say anything?
We like it the way it is.

Despite the fact that theise things can happen, no guns under the regular civillian population works out quite well for us thank you kindly.

Worked great at Charlie Hebdo, and for the innocents killed after the terrorists got away.

And your solution is to do what?

Hand out guns like hot potatoes as is the same in the U.S?

European firearm legislation is generally great, you can own a firearm if you have real and explicit need for it.

Not for masturbation fantasies of "What if X happens".

Yeah, how is it working out for your yearly school shootings? Howmany people a year get killed from arguments and fights where they just started shooting?

Many, many times the amount of victims that come from incidents like hebdo or this thalys.

Your argument is not only invalid, it's also stupid.

In the last 100 years, How many Wars have been in Europe and genocides? How many countries have been taken over and absorbed, reformed, renamed?
Now how many times has the USA been invaded? Europe has a problem with violent crime, especially Great Britain. In european countries that have more guns, violent crime is lower. In areas with stricter gun control, violent crime is worse. Same as here in the US.

Your country is an infant in the broad scheme of things, and already in that short history it's been rife with bloodshed and a comparable body count to nations if cut to periods that match your countries length of existence.

Everywhere has an issue with violent crime the U.S chief amongst them, per capita the U.S is one of the more violent nations in the west; Add on the gun related homicides and whatnot and your leading in the world rate.

Your argument of "Hurr guns lower crimes" is demonstrably false and plain jerk off material for the naive so pedal your wares elsewhere.

Lol. Who's the european here? Not you.

And the only reason the US wasn't more involved in the "wars" you're talking about; Is because back in the time they actually happened. Aviation was still in kidshoes.

I for one, have never witnessed a crime worth mentioning in my 21 years of being on this planet.
And I live in a medium densely populated area which I often get out of.

I also often see this argument of "What if the government breaks bad, someones gotta stop em. Then we got our guns".
Which is like the most hilarious argument ever. As if the population would stand a chance against a ruthless dictator guns or no guns.

Everybody involved who stopped that Terrorist are heroes.

Ever since the train bombing Plot in Germany in 2006, I thought about that situation, since I use that train on a regular base. That one was stopped by stupid luck (bombs didn't work). It was said, that the Security Services did observe them, like in this case, too (and they mixed in wrong bomb building instructions....yeah right...Hey, great observation you stupid fucks! People could have died!). I didn't belive it then nor now. London and Madrid happend... people don't remember. What a fucking tragic time we are living in.

Still, those guys did a great job and deserve all the good things!

Your 21 years? Oh my I had no idea you were so old and have seen so much. Why at 21, you know more then the rest of us surly. LEt me tell you something junior. In my 48 years I have seen some terrible things. At 21 I thought the same as you. I was idealistic, I even thought that guns were not needed. I learned. I learned what humanity is really like. What people can and will do to each other. I learned that no one, is going to be able to protect me or my family if something happens. So I chose to not be a victim. That if I have too, I will fight back.

YOu think that just because your country has strict gun laws that will protect people from violence. I cant change your mind. You will learn in time. Enjoy your idealistic youth while you can. I am afraid that reality and the world we live in now will come crashing down around your ears before too long.

    Sure bro.

I'm glad there is an ocean between us and people like you.

And fyi, my stepfather is 58 years old. He has never witnessed a noteworthy crime whilst in this country either.
He was on vacation once in your country though, 2 or 3 weeks iirc.

And ehm.. well no need to go into details. But i'm loling at your ignorance right now.

Nice job throwing around school shootings so casual. You are despicable.

Typical MMO champion posters. US heros save many lives in Europe. Takes 3-4 pages for MMO posters to start hating on the US.

As spoken by the great James Franco, "they hate us, cuz they ain't us"
