So basically any superhero image that is brought to school is against the rules? People must get high off telling people what they can and cannot wear or bring to school. When I was a child, me and everyone else had superhero backpacks, clothes, lunchboxes, you name it. What child doesn't love superhero's?

That's really dumb, but i remember getting sent home for having a shirt that said beer on it. We also weren't allowed to play tag at my grade school.

I don't think that's a good policy. But the letter was written in a surprisingly very polite and calm tone, explaining intelligibly why the decision was consistent with the rules.

It says clearly in the letter that all superheroes are banned. Where are you getting that people in that school are walking around with wolverine on their stuff?

Indeed. Which is why I was asking for counter evidence of little boys walking around with super hero imagery in that school.

I'm assuming he didn't actually read the letter and had a kneejerk reaction to the thread title.

Fair enough, I guess I assumed since the thread title singled her out.

I'd go back into school with it and a 'I fuck on the first date' T-shirt. No reason to respect stupid rules.

It's little wonder as to why today's generation is shaping up to be so volatile when the education system doesn't operate in a logical manner. Why can't we let kids be kids - within reason?

Technically it's a lasso. She does get shackled often in the comics though. >.>

Hope they don't teach history. Its fully of people who solved their problems with violence and war.

Well, we are taught history so we are not doomed to repeat it. So it would be ok to teach children about how violence was used to solve problems, so long as they are offering education is alternative ways to resolve issues other than using violence.
