    1000 £ Build Help

    Hey,

I'm currently trying to put together a gaming build for a friend of mine within the 1k £ budget. Here is what I came up with. And yes there is no HDD, monitor or any accessories included since he already has them. This is meant to be an ultimate 1080p gaming build that can handle 1440p easily if needed. I know the i5 4690k is more than enough for gaming but he is really keen on an i7 so there is that. The skylake chips and mobos are a bit too expensive now and that meant sacrificing the 980ti for a regular 980 so i'd rather have the graphics card.

It is a bit over budget currently but it's within an acceptable range. Over 1100 is too much though.

Unless your friend plan to play really soon on 1440p that 980ti is waste of money. Cause if it takes him months to do so then he would have got a better card with the money or have saved alot by getting a 970 for 1080p. Even a 980 is still good for 1440p. Also corsair cx series are not good psu's.
I am not sure if you meant that he got an ssd or an hdd since you included an hdd in your list. I will assume he has hdd as you typed. The following would be what i would go for around 1k with a red/black theme.
