immigration is a huge problem ( especially here in Turkey ) and internet is full of toxic people we all know that. what i wonder is, do these pictures - memes - photoshops make you feel uncomfortable or are you perfectly fine with them ?

my opinion is i really ( and i mean it ) really sorry for this little fella and turning his dead body into a pornographic ( violence porn ) material is wrong in many levels. please discuss and try not to flame any particular ethnicity or religion ( i don't care but moderation does )

You can't blame 4chan. It's got nothing to do with the site. The same thing could happen on Reddit, or here. It's the people on the internet that make this stuff, blame them, not where they are expressing these (and to be honest, 4chan is usually faster than reddit in most cases to close down posts)

It's a weird thing for me.

The fact that they're turning this kid's death into some kind of comedy routine is disgusting for me, but I can't lie, I thought some of them were pretty funny. The image isn't graphic or disturbing past a mental level so it's really not as bad for me. I hate to sound horrible right now, but without any kind of blood or serious decay it just doesn't register in my mind as strongly.

That being said, don't misinterpret this and assume that means I think this is okay. I don't. But at the same time, I know that often the people on 4chan for example use the internet and that part of is as a way to make light of horrible shit and joking about death and mass tragedy is normal there. That's actually a coping method for some people when they see something so disturbing to the point where it almost reaches into comedic levels.
You have to separate people joking about people doing horrific shit with the horrific shit itself. These people at 4chan didn't drown the child, they're just joking about an image of it and that doesn't make them monsters.

If I got offended it'd mean it has power over me. I'm not offended, though I think it's beyond tasteless. But there are a lot of people out there who're stuck in their homes and who don't understand what empathy and sympathy is. I only pity them.

There's nothing wrong with this stuff existing though.

There's no such thing as "objectively" overboard (noted the pun in your OP btw); what defines your limits might be way too far for some, and not far enough for others.
