    Mythic HFC Trinket Choices

I have been going through all the Mythic logs and there's a wide range of trinkets being used for Destro/Affi. I was wondering if there was anyone kind enough to share their trinket setups and their spec for each of the mythic bosses in HFC?

I am also wondering, how do you know whether someone is using an Iron Reaver Piston or the Class Trinket is there an easy way to find this out?

Class trinket shows up as a debuff on the target for Destruction.

The link answers most of your questions.

    For specs per boss:
    HFA - Destro
    Reaver - Aff
    Kormrok - Any
    HF HC - Aff
    Kilrogg - Destro
Gorefiend - Destro (can aff if you are comfortably farming the boss)
    Iskar - Destro
Socrethar - Destro if you are on ghosts, can aff otherwise.
    Tyrant - Aff
    Zakuun - Aff
    Xhul - Destro
    Manno - Demo
    Archi - Destro

The above might not apply for heroic / normal.

Here's my picks from heroic awhile ago. Halfway through Mythic now and I dont think I'd make any changes to those picks still other than FotDS on council if you want to hard burn Gurtogg and then cleave the other 2. Tried swapping w Mythic Piston instead find it's much easier to keep up DoTs on 3 targets, but only 1 kill on each so I cant really compare yet.

SoN I've been liking too as this stacks with the ring perfectly and have a 691 WF one that's given good results on Tyrant, Zakuun and Reaver.

Thanks for the info on the specs and link to thread. Would really appreciate it if you could give me more details on your trinket set ups for each particular mythic boss, if possible!

I have heroic fragment, mythic DUT and heroic DSI. I think that with these trinkets, the best option for affliction is dsi + dut, especially in short fights. Idk if I'm doing many mistakes with fragment + dsi, but even though it sims better for my character I fail to get better results with this setup.

    I like most of these.

If you're doing gorefiend progression // you've wiped any number of times to skeletons swap fragment to GSR. Fragment is greedy.
I actually like fragment on iskar. It's huge boss damage, and the adds can live long enough to stack the buff and cast some more cbs. Probably depends on your raid/how much you like boss damage.

Heroic fragment vs mythic DuT is pretty close. I tended to like the heroic fragment, but mythic dut is a fine trinket for affliction. Try both yourself, the sims are nt very reliable for warlock.

Yeah, the list that I put there is what I'm using now that everything is on farm. During progress, my trinkets were much different. I hardly used fragment as destro on anything during progress except Iskar. The adds don't live long enough anymore on Iskar in my group, otherwise I'd still play it on that.

For Mannoroth I would prefer UGOS + POF for aoe wisely, or at least POF, it's pretty great on that fight.

Why would you take that over UGoS / DSI

Hahaha, yep, mythic fragment is the only mythic trinket that I do not have! Looks like I still have to figure out my trinket set ups for some of those fights!

POF was a great parte of my damage, ever bigger than UGOS at least.

fragment is a weird trinket coz its 1 of the worst heroic trinkets with most heroic hfc trinks being better than hc fragment but for mythic its the best trink for afflic and for destro its really rather situational only good on primarily ST fights or maintained aoe fights(aoe fights where the adds lasts long enough to get 5 stacks of the fragment debuff up).

i think you're underestimating mythic piston, sure mythic fragment is better but from your answer it makes it sound as if the difference is HUGE which it isnt.

Wish they have build a bit different this trinket, made the debuff on player and stacks on cast not on hit.

I still don't have fragment or Dsi....the struggle continues.

Edit: To be on topic though I am using a shards of nothing on mythic tyrant and also gorefiend as affliction and have seen great results coupling it with darmacs.

Assuming the same numbers that would have made the trinket absurdly overpowered. 20% passive crit for > 90% of the fight? Balanced.
