From what reading I did the first time I saw this, not really. She's basically saying she doesn't have to follow the laws of the country she's in, but gets all of the rights. Which is absurd.

From what reading I did the first time I saw this, not really. She's basically saying she doesn't have to follow the laws of the country she's in.

She's referencing the Articles of Confederation as if they're current day. They stopped, "applying," in 1789.

She's also essentially making up her own people. "Free people of the earth," feeling that since she doesn't want to feel bound to a corporation or country, the rules don't apply to her.

Basically she's trying to become an ultra hippy. The likes we haven't seen before.

Dear God no. Nowhere in any sovereign state does it otherwise say you are not bound by the laws of the country/land you are visiting but you retain all rights granted to citizens. The only time I have ever seen a person not be bound to the laws of a nation they are in is diplomatic immunity.
