I need help. Blizzard website down and need to renew my subscription.

I have tried to get the Blizzard website in the EU to work since friday now, and I am beginning to despair a bit. It keeps timing out for me. And I get this message no matter what I try.

    This webpage is not available

    ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

I have tried different browsers, I have tried anything. I just want to renew my subscription, but I can't. Does anyone know the phone number for Blizzard, or have some magical solution for me. Please explain carefully, because I am really dumb when it comes to computers.

    Thanks for reading.

I´d say, just wait til afternoon. Servers should be up by then. Also.. if website is down, account management would not be possible. Surly not the problem to wait a bit

EDIT: 11:15 - Servers should be up by now. just checked.

I have tried since friday, so this is beyond a little bit of a wait now.

He is having trouble since friday though. I assume it has something to do with the ports blocking battle.net.

Missed that. Sry ^^" Isn´t there an option for accountmanagement via BattleNetLauncher? Or is that just redirection to the website? I´m on work, so is can´t check atm.

What is a port, and how can I make it not block? I am seriously very silly when it comes to computers.

I have tried to ticket it, tickets won't work for me from in-game. I tried logging into the website, no luck. I tried setting up a new sumscription via the battle.net store, no luck, all keeps timing out. I have an account, so I can log into a level 1 to try to ticket, but it's not working.

Are you trying to do this from work behind a firewall and proxy server or from home on your own connection that previously worked in the past?

For that to answer, we need to know what Operating System (OS) you use. Just cause it can be configured in different ways on different OS.

I do not know what a proxy thing is to be fair. I use Windows 8 I think, and I have a virus scanner called Avast, I can take that off, I think?

    Maybe this could help.
    https://eu.battle.net/support/en/art...firewall-ports
Blizzard tool/Advice for configuration. Below the config for Windows 7 and 8 Systems.

Click the Start button and type Windows Firewall into the search field.
Click Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
On the left frame, click Inbound Rules.
On the right frame, click New Rule...
Select the Port radio button and click Next.
    Select the TCP radio button.
In the Specific Local Port field, enter 3724. Click Next.
Select the Allow the connection radio button. Click Next.
Make sure Domain, Public, and Private boxes are all checked. Click Next.
Enter any name for this rule. Click Finish.

EDIT: Have to mention the port 3724 is for World of warcraft. On the site i linked you can check for the port you need.

I can't visit any eu.battle.net sites at all, but I can try this.

Try at a friends/parents/neighbours or even school/library PC. see if the problem persist there. Or try on a mobile phone connection if you have one.

can be a short term solution, and confirms that the problem is local.

I have tried friends and family and phone, and nothing works. I jsut installed to windows 10, and I got my sub renewed, but was going to server change as well, and then the site shut down again.

    Is something blocking my attempts?

Use a different browser. If you normally use Chrome, try internet explorer, or vice versa. I occasionally get errors in Chrome if a site is redirecting or weird stuff, and so I need to use Internet Explorer for that one site until I stop being lazy and problem solve a solution. Worth a try.

I've been having the same issue aswell, what fixed it for me was:

Open up the commandprompt (Windows key + R, then type CMD)

    Then input the following:

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /renew

The website immediately started working again after I did it.
