Z170-A board not recognizing RAID 0 SSD as bootable

Using the Z170-A motherboard with 2 samsung 840 Pro 512gb SSDs. Created RAID 0 array in bios just fine, however the device do not show in the boot menu. In windows 10 installation the raid array will appear but will not allow installation because the "Device is not bootable". If the SSD's are set to AHCI, both devices show up in the boot menu in BIOS. Have tried all the sata ports, updated BIOS. Ive also tried to install the IRST drivers in the windows 10 installation and it still will not recognize the RAID array as bootable.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

From my times with IRST in x48 you have to set the raid array as bootable in the IRST console.

But creating a raid0 of SSDs in IRST is a waste of CPU cycles
