So yeah would you be interested in seeing a new star trek series on tv? A good classic trekkie style Star Trek. One that doesn't include jj abrams in any way or the new movie cast.

are we talking a remake or some other plot / event with a new ship / crew to follow?
I would like to see one that continues on from the end of the dominion war/Voyager returning home. I loved Enterprise and thought they did a good job going back and doing a prequel type series for star trek. I like how it showed how we went from the NX-01 to the birth of the federation.
Deep Space Nine was the series I enjoyed most of Star Trek.
A series based during and around the Dominion War would be cool. However, a series based on the particular conflict among the Cardassians and Bajorans would be super fascinating.
A new Trek show is always interesting. But I don't want a remake. Also I don't want it like the "rebooted" and new movies cause they are all shit.
At this point they'd either have to have it tie into the Abrams movies or create a whole new reboot of their own. I guess they could just call them all parallel dimensions. I think there's almost zero chance of a straight up new Star Trek series in the original continuity.
Something with the Cardassians would be great, but Bajorans are quite possibly the most bland race ever.
I don't even know what time-frame or set up would be interesting at this point. TNG, DS9, and Voyager were all set in the same time, Enterprise was a prequel, so a century or two later than TNG?
At this point with so much SJW going on, probably would have a transgender or exquisitely gay captain.
A show a century later with Odo as an Ambassador in the Gamma Quadrant would be interesting.
As long as it's not like enterprise, and doesn't use Captin Kirk's crew I want it. With JJ on star wars, it's unlikely that he'll be associated with Star Trek going forward.
If it's a classic 'Trek adventure show the likes of TOS and TNG, I'm down for one.
Please, no more serialized plots the likes of DS9, VOY, and ENT. Although I loved the saga of DS9 (it's one of the best shows I've seen!) and found the premise of VOY compelling enough to watch (despite the bait and switch), it's not the classic Star Trek I knew.
Sure there's plenty of ideas.
How about a rogue evil federation ship manned by Admiral Eric Pressman (Terry O'Quinn from Lost)?
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.
I don't care too much about the Bajorans, so much as I think Cardassia's occupation of Bajor is a majorly interesting point in ST lore.
The Bajorans are kinda secondary to what I see as extension of fascism. What if not just a nation or world, but an empire succeed in the spread of fascism in the "perfection" of the Federation's own quadrant?

I want a new Star Trek so badly it hurts, I own every season of tng, ds9 and voy (yeah I'm not as big a fan of the os so shoot me, but make sure it's a phaser). I would like it to be based after Voyager, no prequel crap please. Perhaps as much time should pass as has passed in real life so we can have some much loved characters returning (Picard, Data (forget the crappy Nemesis movie), Odo, the Doctor, Barclay, Worf, Garak etc). They need to come up with some new ideas that are as innovative as teleporters, warp drive and the holodeck though if it's to be as culturally impacting.
Obviously it needs to introduce a bunch of new characters that are unique and interesting and yet have room to grow over 7 years, proper sci-fi stories that do what the best Star Trek always did, a social commentary whilst putting the science back into science fiction and depth that leaves you thinking long after you have finished watching, moving "human" conflicts that tackle all facets of human life (yes including religion).
If they can do that without letting the liberal agenda take over as it has so much of tv now (a balanced perspective from the left and right please), then they will have a fan.

I'd also like to see something in the time period after voyager. Enterprise just didn't look or feel like Star Trek to me, and I was never into Tos.
Isnt there one in development right now with Tuvok from Voyager? Or was it canceled?
Last I heard is that yes, there is a new series in development.
