Just finished watching the first episode of this show...kinda badass isn't it. works quite well with a chick, and not an estrogen fest either.

I mean, the premise is awesome, and the girl is attractive so it should work. But it doesn't work for me at all. I only watched the first episode and I can already tell that the what be relationship between the two main characters is going to be too much for me. That's the main point I don't like, and if it's going to be there in their every interaction, then I'm probably not going to keep watching it.

2nd episode was even better than the first, this si really good, as for the relationship between them, yeah it kinda looks like it could go that way, a bit typical, these days the only thing that surpises me on that front would be if one of the main characters turned out to be gay. otherwise i think i generally prefer it if they keep it professional+

Well at least the reveled her identity already, I would have been pissed if the held back on it. That the biggest thing that pissed me off about the Blacklist. And ya given her identity its almost set in stone the mains will get together.To be honest i don't mind, I kind of enjoy romantic subplots anyway. Shows almost have to have them in the modern age to appeal to more demos anyway.

yeah, agreed, sometimes they can even be good, although they're very predictable mostly and you get the impression they're just thrown in as an after thought or the candy carrot, but just a distraction. That's why i liked sense8, everything told a story made it seem more real .. and that's important in sci-fi/fantasy themed shows they need to be more realistic than most others to compensate for the very unreal things like the tech or the magic.. but most writers are very sloppy about the very real human/species interactions only focusing on the fantasy story without trying to make it real enough for all viewers to connect to the characters. If they need pointers on how it should be done, they should watch sense8


Another thing i like about this is how real the fights are choreographed, whiles other shows can be quite good, you do see terrible physics that's totally unrealistic with skinny small girls tossing around big muscly hunks - in here however, you can see it's much more similar to real life, the way the guys are able to throw her around with force as they're stronger, but she uses skill, speed and her body to flip em over and get the better of them.. she bests them ofc but it looks real, you like.. she could really lose this one, that guy is really tossing her about.

I enjoyed today's episode even more, the lead actor is very good at looking horny and longingly at the girl he is clearly swept away by, and is protective over but the story gives a great reason

love the mystery, and the execution also, it's well put together and really enjoyable, i would have a liked a bit more martial arts this episode, but another piece of the puzzle, and new interplays revealed, nice.

This is getting a full season. Glad to hear because it's quite enjoyable.

The problem with romances in shows like this is that it pretty much has to end with them getting together, and then the show tanks. I found Bones and Castle both highly uninteresting as soon as the main characters got together, because every plotline after that is about "jeopardize their love to create tension!"

But part of the tension of "will they, won't they?" is what drives those shows in the beginning seasons. I'm still trying to find a show which achieved the balance in a good way - where the two people you're rooting for the whole time finally get together...and then the show ends. I guess you had Friends, but that show at least had 4 other friends to write stories around while Ross and Rachel did their whole song and dance.

Ya i found this irritating as well the whole Pelant arc killed Bones for me. There is nothing saying they can't properly grow the love between the characters in Blindspot and not just use it as a lazy plot point tho. Which is what i hope they do.

not only that, it could be a deep love but not go sexual, this can work well when they introduce very appealing love interests for both groups later on, but even if they do fall in love etc, doesn't have to end up in a "jeopardize our love thing" but then they tend to go there cos it's easy, and they're out of subplots

The funny thing is that I don't think Weller looks at Jane in a romantic way. If she really is Taylor, he may look at her as a little sister, which is why he felt responsible for her disappearing, he was supposed to take care of her. Heck, even from the way they speak about Weller's father they seem to allude to a possible biological relationship. Yes, I know comparing her DNA to Weller's would have shown that, but they also have had no reason to do that, and likely did not bother to do so. Have to save something for the season(s) I guess.

There isn't a single character I feel any kind of attachment/affection towards. They're all just so generic and/or bland that I just don't really care about any of them.

I mean honestly if... Twatface, the main guy, had caught hemorrhagic fever and the last 5 mins of the episode had been him violently bleeding out of every hole... I still don't think I would have cared all that much.

I might have stopped eating my tomato soup... But not for long.

I'll keep watching because the premise is interesting and I want to see how the plot develops, but honestly if I had heard it was cancelled yesterday, I wouldn't care.

I agree, the characters aren't very compelling, however they are doing just enough with the show to keep me watching. Let's see if I still feel that way mid-season.
