Sucks for the family, so my sympathies.
But this kid deserves the Darwin award. That's just fucking stupid and I hope this accident is a lesson to everyone else stupid enough to try this fucked up game.

First the Fire Challenge, now this. Some people do such stupid things for cheap thrills.
I sat alone in the dark one night, tuning in by remote.
I found a preacher who spoke of the light, but there was Brimstone in his throat.
He'd show me the way, according to him, in return for my personal check.
I flipped my channel back to CNN and lit another cigarette.
Yes, they do. Though that would be considered a freak accident and rightly so. People don't expect to die during a tennis match. People should, however, be expected to get injured or killed if they're messing around with moving vehicles. What happened was tragic but it could have been avoided altogether.
We NEED to BAN Semi Trucks!!! They are causing kids to be killed!!!
The downside of social media/youtube-like-platforms, well one of the downsides...
Natural selection doing what natural selection is supposed to be doing.
Reminds me of the steve utash thing that happened in Detroit. Kid ran out and hit the side of his truck, he stopped to check on the kid and was nearly beaten to death by a mob of black people.
i used to do this as a kid
in a third world country
cause bored
ban trucks.
Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled of elderberries.
I would keep driving if that happened and stop at the police station to report it. There are way too many incidents of hitting some punk kid in a bad neighborhood and ending up being attacked for stopping.
I've never even heard of this "touch the truck" game, but it honestly doesn't surprise me. Teenagers tend to do really dumb things in attempts to be cool. Sadly, that sometimes ends like this story did.
And yeah, I'll admit I participated in a few games I'd consider pretty dumb now as a teenager. We did a few of those "I'M TOUGHER/MORE MANLY THAN YOU LOL" games (things like trading punches to the shoulder one at a time until someone had to stop). But even between age 13-18, I like to think I would've said fuck no to the game in this story.
