Guild Wars 2 is a great game. The only thing holding it back is the fact that dungeons and fractals are not smooth without the holy trinity. It'll be interesting to see how they plan to set up the new raids in Thorns. Other than that, GW2 is better than WoW in all aspects besides the fore-mentioned.

So did I, so did 4 of my friends and neither of us are playing the game or even have the game installed. It was long ago any of us played.
But I won't bash too much, it's a beautiful game and the combat is perfect, but game has other issues that kept me from returning.

With a game that doesn't have a subscription model, how exactly would they define what counts as an "active player" or whatever, in order to give a more accurate number to compare to, say, WoW's subscriber total? Pretty sure that's one reason they went with accounts created. Seeing that they've sold 5+ million box copies, though...even if only half that many people are still playing, that's a pretty nice number. I dare say it's a lot closer to WoW's sub numbers now than it's ever been (thanks, WoD). No way to know for sure unless you work at Anet.

Lovely game. Love how you can change "specs" simply by switching out weapons. Game world is vast and beautiful. Combat is fun and engaging. Can't get into it though because it's essentially a solo game you play near other people.
