Yes, Marksman.
Lone Wolf talent, says hallo...
Fact (because I say so): TBC > Cata > Legion > ShaLa > MoP > DF > BfA > WoD = WotLK

Yea, my hunter is 90 so wondering if I should level him up. But I dont like pets. I like to have pets, I just dont like to use them in battles.
The optimal solution for me would be if they made a ranged rogue spec. Tossing stars and knifes of sorts...
As soon as you hit 100. If you're marksman, you pretty much only have 1 viable level 100 talent. That is lone wolf.
Currently: My stable has 5 pets. 1 Crane (battle res), 1 netherray (bloodlust), 1 spider (slow), 1 hyena and 1 cat (I like them) . I only use them for stampede and utility.

Read on Lonewolf talent, it increases your damage (which is the damage you lose from removing a pet basically).
And yes it's good enough, it's what MM is using right now mostly.
