This is doubtful. I've been there as well and I have family there and I don't recall seeing many Brazilians at all.

I guess when people run out of real problems, they turn superficial things into real problems.
And for all those whining about catcalls: Don't worry, they will stop once you reach your late 20s/early 30s. Just don't whine because of the lack of attention you receive then. It would make you look hypocritical.

This is a real problem. Normal women shouldn't be scared to go out or walk in the streets. They aren't 2nd class citizens.
