Countries recieving US foreign aid and how much

We've been hearing for years that Israel receives the most foreign aid and this chart confirms it. What's surprising to me is we give China aid.

I know we gave Jordan and Turkey a bunch to help with the Syrian refugees, I don't see Turkey, maybe the chart is a little old? 2014 data?

The bigger the country the more aid they get.

Pretty amazing all the countries we give money to, especially when there is zero support for foreign aid among voters.

Same reason Israel gets a lot, cause we want influence with them, mainly to keep the peace and not start another war.

Israel is a strategic assest, that's why the huge inestment.
My guess is most goes for security (I know the "Iron Dome" costs A LOT everytime it's activated).
And i guess except that, money goes into technological invedtments.

I work as a programmer, and i also worked on a government funded project, and i know some projects get money from US.

You call it aid money, its actually bribe money. US pays these countries so that they keep supporting US policies. They will threaten to cut "aid" If any of these countries starts to seriously resist any sort of US action in that region.

That's a negative way to look at it. How about this, you give your kid an allowance, it's not a bribe so that he'll behave even though you might with hold the allowance if he misbehaves.

No, it's a fairly realistic way to look at it. If a given country does things we don't like, elects the "wrong" leader, etc, what's one of the first things we do? Pull their aid monies and set up sanctions.

Israel has 8 million people.

3,1 billion/8 million = 387,5 dollars.

I would assume plenty of those countries would have US military facilities that the US 'rents'.
