STILL no improvements to the social tools in WoW!

Reading the results of day 1 is incredibly depressing. The #1 issue with WoW right now is that it is tailored for introverts. The social tools are incredibly weak. Its the reason why subs keep dropping. And I don't even see the issue addressed at all.

Artifact weapons, new scenarios, demon hunters, new zones, new raids, challenge mode, blah blah blah, that isn't going to fix this game.

There is nothing that entices me to return to WoW. I like social games, where you have a community. That was WoW at one time but its gone and they don't seem to understand why they must fix that.

I guess I'm never coming back.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

I like your verdict before you even see the rest. Oh well, more fun to buy a car by looking at it, not caring about the seats.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

It's been very common knowledge that the main hub for both horde and alliance is going to be Dalaran again like in WOTLK
Either another ignorant post or another troll post

I think he's referring to the other social aspects. How will guilds be this time? Are servers getting merged since over 100 of them are in terrible states. Those kinds of questions will come to mind.

With the amount of salt on this forum 24/7 ( which is enough to cover the Earth 25 times ) I'm surprised anyone fights a battle for improved social features in this game.
I loved the community in other recent MMO's, but being back on MMO champ and seeing the WoW one is imo worse then League of Legends, and that's saying a lot.

Just find a friendly guild is my advice.

Yes i agree, there are a lot of "tools" in the this game

    get it??
    Be feared, or be fuel

You can't force people to be social. With that being said, the community is to blame for the lack of social happenings.

We are just as absorbed with the game as we were in vanilla, other than garrisons and cross realms not much has changed. Junblat gets it, there are perhaps too many tools in this game.

They did say something during Gamescon about improving social systems and/or making it easier to find like minded people to play with.

I am hoping that was not just some PR talk and we will get some info on it during todays panels.

The only tools you need is yourself. Fucking socialize with people, if all of you wankers sit in a dungeon group not even saying a word, how do you expect people to get more social?

    Community issue is community issue?
    Anemo: traveler, Sucrose
Pyro: Yanfei, Amber, diluc, xiangling, thoma, Xinyan, Bennett
Geo: Noelle, Ningguang, Yun Jin, Gorou
    Hydro: Barbara, Zingqiu, Ayato
Cyro: Shenhe, Kaeya, Chongyun, Diona, Ayaka, Rosaria
Electro: Fischl, Lisa, Miko, Kujou, Raiden, Razor

Class Halls will bring a social aspect back, I remember back in the IF days or Shatt and Dalaran days other Mages would see me and ask me questions. I met a lot of people just by being in the city, Class Halls will bring that back cause everyone is gonna compare themselves to the others in the hall. Possibly bringing in questions and chatting and what not

The things they concentratet on during Blizzcon are what they are most proud about, and what they think is the most important for the game. If they didn't mention something, it's probably not going to be added.

I see the OP's point. When they were talking about new Dungeon system and new Raids, they didn't mention any steps towards improving the initiative to socialize in them. In their eyes WoD raiding was perfect, in mine it wasn't - for puggers it was a soulless semi-LFR on group finder, for guilds it was a struggle thanks to new and weird loot system and release schedules.

Blizz can't make people be social if they chose not to talk and interact with the rest of the community. I agree that the community has become a tad bit less interactive with each other but really, who wants to deal with the trolls, douchebags, and other varieties of negative attitudes in game? I long for the days of sitting in a main hub and interacting with other players and now that we have Dalaran back and class halls I think that the community will take a upswing and become a little more chatter and proactive again.

Probably because, ironically, the more social tools they add the less social the game becomes.

One of them perhaps. Let this not be another excuse to shift blame from the terrible design of WoD onto something else.

I dont know, a reason i often hear for people quitting is "my friends quit" or "i dont have anyone to play with". I'm sure it's up there along with "I have nothing to do".

I like to think a lot of that is is because it's very hard to find a guild or group that suits your desires these days, especially crossrealm. And vice versa, its quite hard for guilds to find suitable members. Trade spam and a forum post just doesn't reach that many people in the end. Improved in game tools could certainly help there.

    What's a social tool?

What other mmo's have an example of a social tool?

I do know. You can't honestly believe lack of socialization is the only reason people think the game's bad...
