They do this to balance specs with higher ilvl ceiling in mind, both PvE and PvP is getting +10 ilvl boost compared to 6.2 (S3 gear = 740 in PvP, for PvE you have valor)

Specs don't scale equally with item levels so they do this to boost poor-scaling specs up to snuff with the good-scaling specs. Rather than nerfing overpowered specs they are buffing underpowered ones, cos nerfs create lots of bad PR.

Deathknights are currently in the bottom of the damage meter on singletarget fights, and middel of the pack on aoe.
Not only that but we also scale worse with gear than any other class, which will put us even further behind comparatibly in 6.2.3

The buff is needed and justified.

Why is that a thing? Druids are generally overplayed anyway because of a billion of roles they can do and dks are already overpowered in hellfire citadel.

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/statistics/8# I'm not so sure dk's are that great, especially if you look at individual fights rather than overall, which is ruined due to gorefiend for unholy dk's. In the upper half of HFC, there's only a single fight(Iskar) where frost dk manage to be just over the average, every other fight they are below average to almost dead last outside of specs like gladiator and survival. Unholy does a bit better being just above average on iskar, xhul, slightly below on mannoroth and archimonde, and at the bottom together with frost on Tyrant, Socrethar and Fel lord.

That said i do think buffing through trinkets would have been nice, it's a bit annoying that a brf trinket will continue to be better than 740 itemlevel trinkets.

You are basing your entire argument off of one guy with extremely good gear 7sockets plus WF vial in a raid of alts and it makes you seem ignorant....Especially when you factor in performance on zakuun across all classes and realize the #2 unholy dk barely creeps in around 700 out of all the classes. The data is there you are just willfully ignoring it.

Warriors don't need buffing? I was rank 42 on Zakuun Mythic this week, 99% and 100% (rank 1) in my ilvl bracket (i'm ilvl725).. I did 97k dps and our mages did 165k dps each, one of those mages died early and was initially way ahead of the other mage.. To say that Warriors and Frost DK's don't need a damage buff is just absurd, that classes can be so massively ahead, if a mage did 97k dps on Zakuun you'd be asking him to pick up his slack..

You are looking at the logs where guy starts with enraged ghoul, 8 stacks of blood charge and 50+ runic power. You know this requires 2 minute set-up? No guild can allow that during progression, and even on re-clears it is annoying as hell to do.

Meanwhile all what rogue did is 5 cp SnD at the beginning and that's it.

Well, this should be good for us. We have a very good boomkin on our roster. He normally runs 80-100k on first 4 bosses on mythic. So, adding 8% should be good.
