Well abstinence-only education is generally attributed to, and associated with, conservatives and the religious. And PP can only treat patients who show up to get tested. Can't treat someone who doesn't show up.

In the southern states they teach nothing but abstinence only sex ed. It doesn't work as they have the highest teen pregnancies, abortions, and STDs.

Some people are just stupid. Take for example the states that teach Abstinence only sex ed. That would be the primarily Christian Southern states. They have the highest teen pregnancy rates and STD rates. They also have the highest repeat teen pregnancies as well since they didn't learn anything the first time.

Then you go to the flip side of it where states like Colorado teach proper sex ed and also give out cheap birth control in IUDs lowered teen birth rates and abortions by 42%. You would think the Religious Right would be loving that, but they don't. They want lots of children but no abortions and fuck them if they can't pay for them.

Those are probably the kind of people that believe a 'sock' works also. Imagine what tricks you could pull on such people! Endless comedy value why has nobody made a show about that!

That is kind of a stretch. Shared needles was a bit larger an issue then not having a HIV testing area that people who shared needles wasn't exactly frequenting.
