Question What will be your go to spec in Legion?

After we've seen the initial list of talents, spells and changes as well as artifacts(excluding demo's artifact) What will be your main spec for time investment on artifact during Legion based on primary analysis of liking/disliking the changes?

Marksmanship, most likely. Sucks that I'll lose my pet, but I'll have SV and BM on the side. Unless BM/SV turns out to be extremely outperforming MM in raids of course.

Destruction most likely, maybe Demonology, but low chance.

IMO, Destruction will continue being Swiss Army Knife spec of Warlocks. It got a sizeable buff in council type of encounters, it retains and improves it's cleave, has its on demand burst intact and it easily has the craziest AoE potential of the 3 specs.

The only question mark is it's Single Target, but I guess it will be at least passable.

I will try Demonology first, but will look into the other specs eventually.

It's pretty much impossible to say till we get beta.

Right now they all look good but we shall see.

    I'm not sure...I like Demonology...but I don't know...not quite what I was hoping for...so I'm kinda torn between it and Destruction.

At the moment all of the changes look pretty exciting, will have to wait until I don't get a beta invite to actually test them though

Hard to say, since my character is essentially being deleted. Affliction looks like it might be okay, but depends how Soul Effigy shakes out. As much as I like multidotting, I like it as a bonus not as completely baseline thing all the time. Might look at something else, maybe Resto Shaman or... just not buy Legion.

Affliction, as it stands right now. Losing my execute on destruction annoys me, and demonology has always appealed to me the least.

Since new Demo's mobility will be like Destro's, Aff sounds valid IMO. I hated Aff before, but now Drain Soul will be merged into Drain Life. I loved that. Demo has Soul Link tho, but I prefer Sac Pact over that. However, Demonic Circle: Teleport won't be baseline and will be in the same tier with Sac Pact, and Demo loses Demonic Leap.

Demo will get owned in 2v2 and 3v3s against melees and Mages. Aff will rule again. Destro's Demonfire talent looks cool tho. Can't say anything for sure, I'll try all.

It was going to be Demonology but after seeing the Destruction talents, I'm really on the fence about those 2. Will probably wait till I get access to beta to make a fair assessment.

Affliction will still be king for PvP, that's for sure.

I'll do what I normally do. See what appears to be simming as the strongest spec for the first raid tier, or five man dungeons at an expansion launch, and play that through levelling content to get familiar with it and any potential changes.

Too early for me to say, will need to wait until some data starts arriving from the tail end of the beta.

You can level with just about any spec previously, although I would have gone with Demo/Destro.

I think I'll be swapping between Affliction and Demo for quite a while before settling down. They both look really cool and Destruction looks a bit 'same old' to me where Aff & Demo seem pretty refreshed. That could of course be totally different when I start trying it. Most of the time I'm respeccing between all 3 continuously, that probably wont change :P

Affliction! (I only do PvP with warlock).

I like the new haunt. 1-minute corruption can be fun, as well as soul effigy.

And unlimited range siphon life ok I know it will probably not make it till release.

I voted for what I hope to play. Won't know until I get on PTR and start messing around. Demo or Destro. I don't think I would enjoy Aff main spec as I enjoy DD more than DoT playstyle.

Curious to see if there are any improvement to melee clutter with both BM and Demo bring so many pets around, would wish that at least guardians got to be reduced spell effect treatment and be invisible for the rest of the group. If not then I fear I will not play demo just not to piss off melee people.

Depends on whats best. So far it would be Affliction = Demonology > Destruction. Going back to the roots of affliction, which is purely dotting, is good imo. Demonology looks interesting, but my guess is that we'll be slaves to shitty pet AI. Destructions mastery stat killed it for me.

Will play new Demo first and go from there. Destro getting passive Fire and Brim Stone as a talent is amazing, even if it doesn't spread Immolate, since you can just Cataclysm to spread Immolate.

Whatever sims highest for the majority of fights in raids. Pretty much learned now not to get too attached to any spec and to be flexible.
