Buffalo Wild Wings introduces Mountain Dew-flavored wings.

    The wings:

Buffalo Wild Wings debuts new Mountain Dew-flavored wings as a tie-in to their sponsorship of the college football Citrus Bowl.

They're calling the flavor "Zesty Citrus" sauce and it features the citrus flavor of Mountain Dew along with lemongrass and red pepper flakes for a "sweet and spicy combination". Zesty Citrus Sauce will be available at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants from December 14, 2015 through January 2, 2016.

According to Fortune/Bloomberg, the chain is introducing new flavors such as the Mountain Dew sauce in order to attract Millenials.

The fast food chain has a Mountain Dew sauce in development in order to reach younger consumers, according to Bloomberg. It’ll reportedly be released later this year.

The reasoning behind making sauces a go-to addition to fast food chain menus is this: Younger customers have “bolder tastes,” according to the publication. By adding additional types of condiments, chances are a Millennial diner will find a flavor he or she wants, which means return sales.

It's been years since I've gone to a BW. No, I wouldn't try mt dew wings. I'm not much more adventurous than spicy bbq.

  3. #3
Possibly. I'm just laughing because this sounds like a stoner concoction. Even with legit ingredients.

    That's just weird.

As a person that likes Mt. Dew.. why? Why mix these two things.

Are those supposed to be them in the picture? Those look a lot like their garlic parmesan wings. Anyways, heeeeellll no. That sounds absolutely disgusting. Maybe try it out of curiosity and then spit it into the garbage

There's a fine line between bolder and just plain strange

Ah I think it's the red pepper flakes that reminds me of the garlic parmesan. How come they couldn't just use like actual citrus fruits for citrus flavor mtn dew is like sugar overload

I love the sauce at BWW, I order the bottles of it online to use for my vegan Chik'n recipes.

As much as i love the dew, this just sounds nasty. same with some guy in Norway had soft ice with bacon bits on it.

I'd try it no doubt. I didn't like Mountain Dew much the one time I tried it, but anything on chicken I'll give a go.

That seems like the plan now.

Personally, I prefer Dr. Pepper, but I keep getting Mountain Dew, Doritos, and Hot Pockets shoved down my throat.

Maybe. I guess. I mean, if my roommate had it and offered me one, I'd give it a try.

But I'll stick with my spicy barbecue, I think.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!
