Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

The trailer for the sequel has just dropped. It looks like they're not taking themselves too seriously, which is brilliant. Trailer honestly looks fun as hell. Oh and..... Bebop and Rocksteady! Count me in. Whatcha think?

Well the music was the best part I guess. But it just can't be as bad as the first one, even though I hate the Arrow actor with a passion.

At least now I can say the Warcrafts movie CGI looks good now I've seen this. I mean my god that Beebop and Rocksteady looks (while faithful to the original) so very very obviously CGI.

Best part of this trailer was Run DMC...

I'm looking forward to seeing TMNT 2. The trailer is a lot better than the 1st trailer for the last movie. The trailer went more smoother, entertaining, colourful, the turtles stood out more but obviously the CGI isn't finished yet. It looks like Dave Green has done a much better job than Johnathan Liebsman.

I looking forward to seeing Warcraft too but do you think Warcraft could gross more than TMNT 2 in the US/worldwide. In the UK Warcraft and TMNT are both released on the same day (June 3rd), which I think is a big mistake because I like to see both movies do really well and i've already decided that I'll be seeing TMNT 2 first and will be seeing Warcraft a week later.

I am so on board with this film-

    1. Be-Bop & Rocksteady. HOLY SHIT

    2. The turtle van firing sewer caps.

    3. Turtles riding around to Run-DMC's "Tricky"

    Pre-purchasing tickets.

I wish they'd decreepify Mike. It's either just the way he's written or the voice actor.

the only thing I care about is where I get that remix of "it's tricky".

Watched the first one because nostalgia. Not great, but it met my very low expectations.

    Then...

So I found out today that the new Turtles movie will have Krang.

They didn't have to do that, they had my money with Be-bop and Rocksteady. But now they are just juicing me up.

I'd heard that was going to be the case, but when they briefly showed the glimpse of him in the Super Bowl spot I could hardly contain myself.

Stephen Amell is a horrible choice for Casey Jones. I mean, I can't think of a more horrible choice. He plays a vigilante on Arrow so he's the obvious choice for a vigilante on Turtles? Sigh. I mean, yeah, OK... Elias Koteas was a Canadian too, so I suppose going with another Canadian to play a New Yorker is fair game. It's just hilariously dumb that they'd choose "My name is Oliver Queen ... AND YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY" to play this role instead of picking someone less well known. He belongs in Bold and the Beautiful more than he does alongside the turtles, because that's what the Arrow is. Syrupy daytime drama.

    This is Casey Jones:

Stephen Amell can't even dream of ever being this memorable.

Is it just me... or is the CGI work on Bebop and Rocksteady shitty as hell? I mean, I watched the OP's trailer, but at no point during the trailer it sold me the idea that Bebop and Rocksteady are part of the world. It becomes the most apparent when Rocksteady is running on all fours, trashing cars during his trample. He looks like one of those puppets used for stop-animation.

I don't know. I think that's kind of the point. Even the turtles look less real this time around, but all the CGI characters look more cartoonish too. Everything's been designed with, bright over the top colours and is clearly stepping away from trying to bring any more dark and grittiness to the turtles. I prefer this appearance in this context, as Bay has clearly listened to the fans and is presenting something more comical and less serious in tone and style overall.

Michael Bay? Listening to the fans? Pfft, yea, right. Anyways, what people wanted was for the turtles to simply resemble more the source material, not that the CGI used on them and everything else be turned to shite. Those turtles are supposed to be teenagers. Have you seen teenagers that bulky? They make professional bodybuilders look like scrawny kids in comparison.
