I think it has more than the necessary firepower to take in parts of mexico. It creates more tourist destinations. Further sabotages the drug cartels. And lots of resources that could be beneficial to us and help us get out of debt. There would be lots of business to be made here. I wonder why this hasn't happen yet, the perfect time would have been during the American-Mexican war. America is so much stronger than ever.so

It would be Afghanistan times ten, yes the USA could take Mexico militarily but holding onto it would be a shit storm that is simply not worth the cost of material and manpower.

There are easier ways of dealing with drug cartels, invading another country is probably not even on the list...legalizing some stuff might be a good start

You also should probably go read up on debt because the debt of a country doesn't work how you clearly think it does

Well, if the US starts officially annexing countries left and right instead of starting conflicts there and usurping gouvernments, the rest of the world will start to ignore you, boycot you, stop trading with you, and they will just rot on their continent. Every smart american would leave the country in advance, so we skimm the best off of the surface and can then send them back to build a real 'home of the brave and free'. So the real question here is: Can the world sacrifice latin-america to get rid of the US? Now that's a moral dilemma.

Yeaaaaaah...if we attack Mexico without provocation (which...uh...why would we again?) then the sanctions and other actions from other countries would be crippling to our economy. And that assumes that other nations don't lend Mexico military support. It would be a suicide mission.

There are alot of potential places in Mexico that are beautiful for hiking, backpackin, and dispersed camping. And should made into national parks.
