FOCUS - Another New Weapon Type in Legion

So seeing the Demonology Warlock Skull of Man'ari weapon it came to me: Focus should be the best choice for these types of items. It can be One-Handed with Main-Hand and Off-Hand as the need arises similar to Fist Weapons.
What do you guys think would fit the Skull of Man'ari?

Somehow I always assumed the Skull would be an offhand. A dagger would be a perfect companion weapon for it. But seeing the datamining that has been done, it seems very unlikely.

They said the skull was it's own unique weapon type so they were discussing how transmog would work with it. Did they decide you could transmog with staffs?

Sigh. Really another fucking unique weapon? Well might as well just give every class one now.

I assume it's just for Legion's artifact since that's their only weapon.

Unless Blizzard changes it (which is possible), it'll likely stay a staff. Blizzard's already adding glaives, though, so not betting on them adding two new weapon types in Legion. Other classes would also likely ask to use whatever the skull is classified as so it wouldn't be warlock specific. I doubt glaives will remain DH only after Legion.

It is probably a one-handed item that can be transmogrified to any other one-handed item Warlocks can use.

Also, Focus is the Hunter's resource bar so I doubt they will be named the same thing.
Warlock: "I need a focus."
Hunter: "But you are a warlock... Focus is for Hunters!"
Warlock: "I meant my weapon type."
Hunter: "Oh..."

But they have to be transmogable, otherwise people are stuck with the Artifact skins only. Most of which have to be unlocked through achievements too.
