Im currently doing rukhmar on 37 chars/week and all 4 mop world bosses on however i feel like it (usually around ~20). I dont need any other drop mount anymore thought except HH/love rocket. I would however cap any mop world boss mount given a chance, however they are almost as rare on bmah as it is drop and then im not fast enough
I dunno how many accounts you have, but if you have just one, i feel sorry for you. Doing multiple alt kills is only tolerable if you kill a boss with 2+ alts at the same time. Else, it's a huge time sink.
Yep 1 account only ;> other 4 accounts on which i have about 20 additional lvl90 chars are inactive, since you are limited with 36 tokens / battle.net license. Well im only doing this since there is absolutely nothing to do in this game at this point, have 37 lvl100 on my main account, millions of garrison gold and only account wide things that are missing is couple of mounts and toys. Doing Rukhmar on alliance is okeyish... doing everything else is pain in the butt and i gladly give gold cap on BMAH of each of MoP world boss mounts, but even with macro biding people outbid me, last time i lost zulian tiger like a week ago
I'm not doing 20 atm because I have nothing to farm (wouldn't call galleon and oondasta stuff to farm, seeing their respawn time and seeing how easier, even in legion, galleon is from bmah), but definitely when I farm something I use as many as possible.
Onyxia back in end 2.012-early 2.013 I started with 5 chars, made a new one each week, got it when I had 17, took me 251 runs; ultraxion back in end 2.013-early 2.014 I used 26 dks every week and got it very quickly even though it took me 285 runs (killed only him with save); headless horseman in 2.013 I used 30 chars and got it at the (total of all years) 426th try, if I hadn't had at least 23 chars in 2.013 I wouldn't have got it, and lifebinder I was doing it with 35 chars as soon as 6.0 started, which allowed me to solo it since it wasn't possible (1h kill + couldn't solo all previous bosses) before and got it at the 254th run.
I will always farm stuff with as many chars as possible, I prefer spending a lot of time for few weeks than little time for years, and in particular for mounts like love rocket, where I got lucky cause it only took me 142 runs, I was however running it with all 33 chars I had at the time (2.014), but unfortunately to have a serious chance to get it almost for sure after a few years, about 150 chars would be needed, it's doable for people who need only that but requires 3 accounts, 2 of which you only activate with a token for levelling + month of february each year.

That doesn't really make sense from a probability point of view. With 300 kills and a 1% drop chance, the probability you would have gotten the mount by then is slightly over 95%. So the probabilty that it will drop soon is pretty damn high.
I'd say either farm until it drops or bid on it the first chance you get (and farm until you get that chance, of course).
Wrong. You can clear 7/8 on normal and kill DW on heroic, even on characters that haven't killed it on normal before. Though it requires a macro that abuses a bug (start encounter and switch mode at the same time while talking to green Jesus. google macro).
The only mount boss that truly requires clearing all raid is mythic Garrosh.
I'll never have 10 million gold to spend on cosmetics, but I'm happy the option is there for those who can and will. I will just try to get the spider mount instead at some point

Doing it more means you get to roll the dice more often, but it doesn't mean those dice are ever going to be more in your favour. Killing bosses for two weeks just means you've rolled less often, but you've still had the same chance of seeing it drop every week as the guy farming it for two years.

It's a bug. It's an exploit. AND I WILL REPORT THIS AND CRY ABOUT THIS AS YOU GUYS CRIED BECAUSE OF THE DMG BUG ON 6/20/2016!!!

I think this is new record for this item.
I mean dafuq, half-cap for just a tiny chance of getting something that's actually worth that much or more. 97% of the time you'll get useless crap.
As for percentage chances on mounts, well... it's funny how you argue obvious things. Any single attempt has the same chance on mount drop, that's correct. But combined propability over large number of runs does increase. It's a sequence that approaches p = 1.00 but never quite reaches it. You might be the unluckiest person in the universe and not get the mount after a billion runs, but the actual propability for that being the case is much lower than 1: number of people in the world.
The combined propability starts to increase linearly at low # of runs (so 5 runs gives you roughly 5% chance total), but then starts to diminish the rate of change. At 100 runs you'll have about 63% chance to find a mount with 1:100 drop rate. This chance will NEVER reach 100%, but eventually it will be extremely close to it.
