This is our best try, I was trying to figure out Disc (ended up doing quite well healing wise), only played 30min in alpha and planning to main Holy.

Honestly, I enjoyed it. Although I am looking forward to play Holy, Disc did seem fun. I only had 30 minutes to figure it all out, and I did not, before the raid started. But nevertheless was fun. Disc will be scaled down in my opinion, as it still appears to be strong healer that is doing great dps. I doubt that will be the case.

Any reason you went with grace and not purge of wicked?
Purge of Wicked seemed really good for me, and I had ticks of over 100k.
I also played a bit different style than you did, and I had a lot more plea ussage, which allowed me to never click smite (mindblast does more damage and costs more mana + it reduces the damage the boss does).

Hey Tekc, honestly I was testing and we barely did 10 pulls. I just did the artifact and logged off until raid testing, so that last pull was another test. Was not optimal talents or anything, was just trying different combination. I though Mindblast will drain my mana, but did try it in some previous pulls.
I probably tried what you did too, but for me Disc is just an option as Holy is not out yet. I am hopefully not planning to main it.

I will give a bit more feedback on the next testing. Still trying to figure out a lot of things

what bugs me the most so far is what happened to tank-heal-relations in the latest build. Tanks are almost self-sufficient to a point and then it quickly gets to hard to heal them. I don't really get what they tried to do (compare bluepost), but it doesn't really work out.

As I was saying Sixthumbs, it was just for testing purposes, on previous pulls I was using Mind blast instead. But to test properly, you have to try it all right On that specific pull my talents were very weird too, but all in the name of progress

Zaruga, how do you feel about not having an emergency heal like Penance used to be? I imagine you get into some hairy situations without it!

For emergencies, I relied quite a bit on Shadow Mend. It is your biggest direct heal by far.

Ultimately as disc, you want to avoid getting into that position however and try to plan ahead as much as possible.

ZeroAvix pretty much answered it. Shadow Mend is quite a good tank heal (but you still dont wanna spamm it), so if Atoment is not enough you can Shadow Mend the tank, but for the rest of the group you just top them with Atonement and PW:S. Most of the time when everyone gets damage i just cast a PW:R that's hits everyone in my party and dps, penance, mindbender you top your group in no time.

For the most part you can't really plan ahead if you don't know what's going on next, but its just fine to dps/heal with disc atm. Just pray you deal enough dps to top your group in hairy situations ^^.

Still only Alpha so no big deal, stuff will change, but the gameplay will be dps = heal.

it got removed, and mindblast has been renamed smite.
