I have an Epic game idea

    For WoW
    Or An entirely new game.

    Summary:
-Free to play until level 60

-Existing characters above level 60 will be toned down to level 60 till account is reactivated.
-No dungeons, no arena’s, no raids, no bg’s, no quest, no auction houses, no titles, nor political positions nor the privileges that comes with them, and nor will free accounts be part of leaderboards. You will be a level 60 peasant to populate the realm until your account is reactivated.
-Extreme stat squish, base stat only increases by 1% every level.
-Combat less about stats and more about strategy.
-Levelling grants new abilities for new strategies.
-Encourages friendships by giving players synergy as they interact.
-Leaderboards, Server wanted list, and Guild vs Guild relations are things in the community players could rally around.
-Allows room for a player to explore their own interest in the world while gaining experience for them.
-There will be far lesser quest but quest will grant more experience and be used to teach how to play your class and show important plot points in the story.
-Flying mounts will be limited to 30 minutes of use every 12 hours, there will also be some enemies to watch for mid air so they have to be more careful.
-No more LFR, but LFG persist.
-No more teleporting to dungeons, traveling is content.
-Dungeons and Raids are meant to be special challenges for those who wants them.
    -Dynamic world events and mechanics.

-Role Playing: Players can pick up interest along the way as they play the game. Interest could involve protecting people from wolves or bandits, buffing people and NPC’s, collecting specific items, selling specific items, sparing the lives of yielded opponents, or making citizen’s arrest on bandits. Players could pick up a personal interest and be rewarded by pursuing it with titles, experience points, and transmog pieces. Picking up an interest could play out like the following:

    · You see a wolf.
    · You fight a wolf and realize they are dangerous.
    · A new interest to keep people safe from wolves appears on your personal interest tab.
    · You can choose to make this an active interest and be able to make progress on it.
    · The first phase of your progression in this interest could be: Kill 40 wolves of X type, X type or X type.
    · The second phase could be the same idea but with higher level opponent types, and so is the third phase, fourth phase, and fifth phase.
    · Each progression reward experience and possibly unique rewards such as a transmog piece or a title.

-Role Playing Continued: Aside from Personal Interest players could pick up the interest of Factions, Towns and groups. You could know that a man from Goldshire collects Kobold candles and therefore you find Kobold candles and trade them to him for a payment. Another man from Goldshire, might be in need of wool so you trade with this man. The mayor of Goldshire could have a bounty on Defias brotherhood members and trading in their armbands could get you a reward. These act almost as repeatable quest that you can keep doing until you’ve reached the limit (maybe up to 40 times or something like that).

    · Pursuing the interest of a town/faction/or group will increase your progression with them.
    · Towns/Factions/Groups involve towns and bases around the game and also uncommon groups such as the Centaurs of Desolace, Bloodsail Buccaneers, and the Syndicate. These groups could also involve Battleground groups such as the Warsong Outriders and Silverwing Sentinels, whose task ask you to collect night elf ears or orc ears.
    · There is a good chance that personal interest and town/faction/group interest might intersect, so pursuing them could be good source of gold and experience.
    · Progressing town/faction/group interest could unlock titles and unique transmog from their quarter master.
    · Pursuing the interest of towns and groups within your faction increases your progress with them and you start to gain opportunities for political offices.

-Quest: There are fewer quests this time around. Quests revolve around telling important plot points within the story. How you are addressed within the quest and your perspective within the quest is up to the title that you have acquired within the game.

Important things will be happening in the world and the story without being dependent on the player. Although some events will only be visible after finishing some quest and will disappear after starting another. Witnessing an event could start a new quest, or at least the option to start it by telling it to someone who cares, or the even could just create enough impact that someone is openly looking to do something about it. Since quest will be fewer in number, only consisting of important story lines, they are spread across large levels and of high quality almost similar to scenarios. They will still give good rewards, even better than before but they will be more meaningful and sparse in number.

Other than Important story lines, Quest will consist of Class training quest where you will be taught with how to utilize your abilities and talents in combat or non-combat situations or how to use an ability in relation to a rotation.

    · Other than classic quest given by quest givers, there will also be more investigative quest, where if players notice anything weird in the environment it could start a quest that players can go deeper into by investigating,
    · While some quest could start like that, the way quest are played out are done more through investigations. There will be less convenient stories in quest that allows players to start a quest, but instead it will have a plot and players have to actually investigate the environment and talk to people to progress the quest.

    -World

    · There will be some more freak weather that happens at random, such as tornadoes, earthquakes, storms, sandstorms, blizzards, fel fog, and tsunamis.
    · These create effects that makes things difficult for players during the duration of these events.
    · They are set by zone, by that I mean Felwood can only get fel fog, tornadoes, or storms, and no tsunamis and blizzards.
    · They could start new events such as relief efforts for that specific zone.

-Leveling: After a vast pruning of quest within the game, to avoid feeling grindy experience rewards withing the game has been adjusted to avoid this.

    · Completing quest and Faction interest and Personal interest progression grants about 1 level's worth of experience.
    · Since monsters are significantly harder and take more skill to defeat, defeating them grants around 1 bar of experience at around level 25.
    · Recreational activities (dancing, music, and writing, and painting), Sports, Training, Quizzes all grant experience points.
    · Crafting and Gathering also grant experience. Selling items could also grant some experience.
    · Gaining achievements grants experience.
    · Being in a party or raid increases experience speed by 5% being called synergy.

    -Transportation:

    · There will be free transportation routes
    · There will be private transportation routes that players must pay for.
    · Nuetral Ports such as Booty bay and Ratchet are private routes.
    · New private routes are:
-New Deepram tram routes to Gnomeregan, Kharanos and Loch Modan.
-Bligewater Port zepplins to Silverpine, Lost Isles, and Twillight Highlands
-New Zepplin in between Ratchet and Everlook. New Zepplin between Ratchet and Steam Pools Resort at Feralas. New boat in between Bogpaddle in Swamps of Sorrows to Gadgetzan in Tanaris.
-New boat from Teldrassil to Darkshore. New Boat from Darkshore to Feralas.
-New boat from Silvermoon to Isle of Quel’Danas. New boat from Silvermoon to the Hinterlands.
    · Mounts are expensive again. Training cost 50 gold for Apprentice training and 40 gold for a basic mount. And 100 gold for expert training and 80 gold for an epic mount.
    · Griffins and Wyverns are more expensive. More expensive that private boats/zeppelin’s.
    · Land transportation routes such as Carts and Caravans are far less expensive than Private boats and Griffin/Wyvern services.
    · You can only use Flying mounts to up to 30 minutes every 12 hours.
    · Travelling and exploring ground content is encouraged.
    · There will now be monsters that fly around, so people who fly has to be careful sometimes.
    · Random event such as lightning bolts in a rain can also be a factor.

    -Raids and dungeons:

    · Older Raids and Dungeons do not get debuffed for solo content.
    · Raids and dungeons also have a stat squish.
    · Raids and Dungeons get harder with higher levels with bosses having more abilities/mechanics.
    · Lower level dungeons could still be valuable for practice or gold/transmog farming.
    · There will no longer be Herioc or Mythic difficulties. There will only be Hard bosses, Less harder bosses,
and Even Harder bosses for both raids and dungeons.
·Doing the same dungeon's and raids over and over again scream burn out.
·There will be less pressure for players to do dungeons. Dungeons and Raids will remain special challenges
can choose to take part in for better equipment, experience, and lots of gold.
·LFG stays while LFR is removed.
·Players will no longer have the ability to Teleport to dungeons and raids instantly, players must travel to dungeons
and raids. The journey is content, and snipping it out with nothing in return doesn't make sense.
·Raid tiers will consist of many raids with bosses of varying difficulties, and then Final Raid with the hardest bosses.

    -Items:

    · Common items are more common.
    · Uncommon to Legendary items are far more rare and in less number.
    · Uncommon to Legendary items cause far more to repair.
    -Item strength:
    · Item stats only increase by 2% every level.
    · Common items increases player stats by 2% stats, Uncommon items by 4%, Rare by 6%, Epic by 9% and Legendary by 12%.
    · If Common items cause 1 gold to repair, then Uncommon items would cost 1.75 gold to repair, Rare 2.5 gold, and Epic 4 gold, and Legendary 7 gold.
    · So it is useful to keep some spare Common or uncommon items if you are low on cash or use higher level weapons for harder fights.
    · I do not want to player strength to be grounded on their items, they should rely more on their skills of utilizing their abilities strategically.
    · This item squish could increase interactions between players as players of higher levels would never have any business with lower level players.
    · Although difficult for lower levels they could try to venture into higher level zones, even with higher level companions, and for higher levels they would not thrash everything in lower levels when helping their lower level companions. It also doesn’t make gigabytes of content significantly irrelevant every 5 or 10 levels you achieve.

    -Mobs, Monsters, and NPC’s:

    · Mobs/NPC’s: Have more abilities and greater artificial intelligence the higher the level.
    · Monsters will have more ability to cooperate and work as a team the higher the level.
    · Monsters health will be higher typically consisting of at least 50% to 70% of the players health pool, forcing the players to use strategy.
    · They are more organized at higher level zones, making some places almost like outdoor dungeons that a party would be useful for.
    · Mobs/NPC’s at dungeons and raids drop lots more gold or thrash that could sell for lots of gold.
    · In dungeons Bosses and drop 3 greens and final bosses drop 3 greens and 1 blue
    · In raids Bosses drop 5 blues and final bosses drop 5 blues and 2 epics.

-In game politics: Acquiring certain titles within the game unlocks certain quest and privilages.

    · Amongst these privileges include things like leading soldiers into war, and being able to vote on strategic decisions.
    · If a town is under attack you can make a guard follow you around.
    · The faction will ask you to take soldiers and lead them on an attack on an enemy town or occupy a hill somewhere.
    · The faction could ask you to head into a battle field and a number of soldiers will follow you around on the battle field.
    · Depending on your title you can vote on military decisions such as weather for soldiers to scout an area, defend a base, occupy a hill, attack and enemy town, challenge the enemy faction on a battle field, have a fight between faction champions, attack an enemy location or something as bold as attack the Enemies city. All these decisions are made every 24 hours and the task the faction will ask players will be based around that.

    -Events:

    · Every Week a faction leader makes a speech in their city. (Gives buffs)
    · Orphans will tour the city once a month.
    · Soldiers will march around the zone once a month.
    · Light based or Shaman based religious ceremony to be held each week. (Increases Wellness stats by 5%)
    · Every 3 months faction leaders will meet at the capitol.
    · Every 2 weeks Shamans/Priest will go around town and buff guards, citizens, and players.

At this scale, you can reach level 60 in a week or less, being familiarized with your Class abilities, The story of the game, you'd have time to work on your profession, you can build an identity for your character's place within the world, time to find friends, explore personal interest, and learn how to have fun within the game world.

-Leaderboards: The top members of each faction will be recognized and become the factions champion within a server. 10 champions from each side will be give the opportunity to represent their factions in tournament events.

    · World events will be held occasionally to pit each factions best players against each other in 1 vs 1 or team contest in front of a neutral (sanctuary) audience from both faction. If a faction champion does not attend the event on time, a member of the audience can volunteer to take the place of the faction’s champion. The higher the player on the leader board the higher the priority they will be to participate in place of the missing champion.
    · If neither faction participates the truce will be off and fighting could break out between the factions.
    · The winning champion will receive 1000 gold and 1000 honor points. The government of the winning faction will also receive 5000 gold from the enemy faction which they could use for projects.
    · There are also leaderboards for in game sports with events occasionally being held. They are also faction based with prizes being 500 gold for the players and 1000 gold for the faction. Despite having faction based competition there are also neutral based tournaments held every once in a while.
-Government projects: Planner, organizers, tacticians, task masters, and leaders of towns and cities could ask you for help by asking you to help them raise materials or by donating gold for their cause.
    · With enough effort a faction could increase a town or cities defense with turrets and siege vehicles (both destructible), wards and land mines, to be used to defend attackers.
    · Feast, parades, and celebrations could also be held which will provide players with free buffs, foods, and services.
    · Mechanical constricts could also be created to guard towns and cities.
    · It could be used to create and artifact or recharge and artifact with powers that could give players of the faction a worldwide buff.
    · Well fare could also be created for poorer players, where due to generous donations to the government some players could ask for a 100 gold welfare.
    · Equipment, Armies, siege engines, could also be raised and saved for when they are needed for an attack on the enemy’s city.

-Storehouses: Towns and cities will have storehouse that will store materials and gold acquired by the faction from players. They could be looted and pillaged by enemy factions. They could even have a treasure chest of a faction leader whose key’s you could acquire by successfully raiding a city.

    -Social Interactions:
    · Players can use emoji's in chats.
    · There will be systems that reminds people to greet others, or wish them well like buying and sending post cards through the mail box. This will give their friend a buff, sending back a thank you could also give a buff to their friend. This could be for a holiday season or new especial days like "Elune Day" or "Light Day" where saying a phrase through /say like "Elune guide you" can buff you.
    · The community could rally around server/battlegroup leaderboards or trophy halls in capital cities or maybe a guild house in the middle of cities where the top guild lives.
    · There will also be a system called Synergy. The more actives you do with other people, you will gain xp faster when together. They could also have a buff when out of combat of when you are with your friend your health regen is higher.
    · Emotes could also have a greater effect especially when with a close friend. A /cheer from a friend could buff you. Dancing together with a close friend could create a buff. Eating and drinking together or chatting in close proximity or through /party /raid or /whisper, doing emotes to each other, running together, and fighting together increases synergy.
    · On the Horde vs Alliance front, or faction vs faction front for another mmo, there could be a bounty system posted in boards in cities listing players who has ganked members of your faction and how often, or how effective they are at world objectives, giving them a gold reward collectable by looting an item from wanted person and handing it in to the government.
    · Players can also post status that friends, guildmates, or players they run accross can inspect or see through guild and friend UI. These statuses involve things like "Need gold" "Craving for a Scholomance run" or "Craving for a Black Temple run", or more general things like "Bored and want company." or "Wants to do something stupid" or "Wants a Duel". Players can also now poke each other.
    · I'm hoping for a better Voice Chat system for people who wants that level of social interaction. It will be more easily accessible by inspecting another player.
    · Players can now create a back story for their characters that people can see through inspection. They can also create a birth date for their character other players can greet their character on and get buffs on that day.
    · In addition to in game content, players can submit fan made comic books and npc's that developers can put in the game. This could be through online voting. Also ingame meme's could be a thing where players create emoji's that has a meme and submit it to blizzard to be put in game as long as players vote to put it ingame.
    · Guild games could also become a thing where a Guild would challenge another Guild for a 5 v 5, 10 v 10, or 20 vs 20 to a duel. There could also be a leaderboard for this or at the very lead a news board where players can see at cities or through a UI that X guild defeats X guild. It could be a community thing where guilds place their guild banners all over the place and other players come to watch. The duel will only start if enough members from each guild are within X proximity when starting the duel. Starting the duel will be done guild officers by sending another guild a Guild vs Guild challenge that officers of a that guild will receive, there will be a negotiations tab for the duel at the Guild UI where officers of both guilds will propose an area such as Goldshire, Sentinel Hill, Valley of Trials and a time range such as 10: 30 pm December 3 2016 The proposal with the most votes will be chosen and the event will be put in the calendar UI.
·Conversation boards could also be started and tracked through a social UI, these boards could include things like /10: the elections or /23: NBA or /32: Relationships. Their all player created.
·You can now also play basic games with your friends such as truth or dare, I spy, or 20 questions. You can prepare these games in your social UI, by having set criterias for when you propose the game to other players. Can be played with one other player or a party or a raid. This activity increases synergy.

-Players maintain the health and wellness of their character.

    · Must eat food, drink, and rest.
#Not staying healthy could result to up to -10% debuff, doing so could increase stats to up to 5% (range of 90% to 105%)
    · Relax, play games, and meditate
#Not doing so could result in a -5% debuff and up to a 5% buff.
    · Exercise, practice, and train
#Not doing so could result to up to -10% debuff of rust after 3 hours of combat inactivity (not including logging out) but will jump back up to 5% after a minute of combat or training, doing so could increase stats to up to 5%.
-The time scales for health and wellness degradations are:
    · - 1% to Combat readiness every 25 minutes of inactivity. + 1% every 30 seconds of activity until at 100% combats readiness. Then training, practicing or exercising, or combat for 4 minutes increases stats by 1% and increase the degradation rate to -1% every 40 minutes.
    · Relaxation/fun/wellness levels drop more slowly with a degradation rate of -1% every 2 and half hours and +1% for every relaxation, playing, and meditating activity.
    · Homeostasis (eating, drinking, and resting) degrades by - 1% every 30 minutes. Eating or drinking for 20 seconds increase stats by 1%. Sitting on the ground for 2 minute increases stats by 1%. Sleeping on the ground for 3 minutes increases stats by 3%. Sitting on a chair for 1 minute increases stats by 1%. Sleeping on a bed for 3 minutes increases stats by 6%. Activities could stack so if you sitting and eating and drinking at the same time you are regenerating stats.
    · Stepping into a battleground or arena immediately brings your stats up to 99%. But stepping out returns them to past stats excluding combat readiness stats acquired during the battle.
    · Stepping into a raid or dungeon immediately brings your stats up to 95%. But stepping out returns them to past stats excluding combat readiness stats acquired during combat within those instances.
    · The intention of maintaining character wellness is for players to have something to do to prevent Inactivity. Many times players find themselves sitting around Orgrimmar during nothing for 15 to 30 minutes. With this systems will be bumped every once in a while along their play through so they can think of things to do when they don't have anything else to do, even without when the debuffs are far off they can have an outlet for doing something that will also give them a buff. Also after adventuring for a few hours and not have anything else planned having to fullfill one of these could start a new set of events for you. Useful if you don't want to log out yet.

    -Out of Combat Activities:

    · Every player can sprint out of combat every 30 minutes but only for 35% movement speed increase.
    · Player can learn out of combat spells like Meditation/Reflection techniques by reading in game books and then being quizzed on their knowledge of these books via in game quiz mini games.
    · These reflection/meditation spells can increase health and mana regeneration out of combat by 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% depending on the level of quiz that you have beaten. These meditation/reflection techniques also reduce the degradation rate of the player’s wellness by 1 to 4 hours also increases wellness points by 1%. 1 hour cooldown.
    · Quizzes have different levels and have harder and more questions harder the quiz is.
    · Quizzes are multiple choices but the order of the choices are always random.
    · Quizzes promote mental health, game lore, in-game cultures, so players are welcome to cheat away cause that means you’ll have to study them.
    · Other Quizzes grant other abilities, quest, dialogue with certain NPC’s, and special access to certain places.
    · Other than Quizzes players can also participate in creating player made content.
    · Players can write Poetry/Stories in books and could ask an NPC to publish (duplicate) them and share them or sell them.
    · Other than Poems and Stories, players can sell In-game guides or create Guild Guidelines and put them at the Guild bank.
    · Players could take art classes within the game via Painting/Drawing mini game. Once they completed the mini games, a player could buy a canvas and start painting. They could sell the art to art galleries (Art auction houses) where people could buy them and view them in game. They could also just share it with their friends.
    · Writing and Drawing counts as Relaxation, Play, and Meditation activities and increases stats by 1%.
    · Ingame sports include mini games such as WoW’s version of dodgeball and beach volleyball, boxing.
    · Dancing mini games will resemble dance dance revolution with a console controller.
    · You can dance in a dancing choreography class, or you can choreograph you own dance and dance in public.
    · Archery/Shooting range mini games are also available in game.
    · Melee weapon timed slash (like hitting a baseball) minigames are also available.
    · Sports, Dancing, Archery/Shooting range/Melee hitting mini games all count as practice/training/exercise and increase combat readiness by 1%.
    · You can also play in game instruments that give you a different action bar when equipped.
    · You gain access to new instrument spells in your spell book that are instrument chords and keys and you can place them on your instrument action bar and you can play a song if you wanted to.
    · Instrument involve, flute, guitar, drums, and organ (not carry-able in bags, only usable when one is found). Playing instruments count as relaxation/play/wellness activity that increases stats by 1%.
    · Also Selfie Camera’s will be available for any level character but each camera cost 20 gold.
    · Binoculars will also be available for use out of combat, and cost 200 gold to buy.

-Additional comments: I believe WoW hasn’t been going downhill as some developers said. I believe the developers have been going downhill as they were looking for cheap solutions to creating content instead of actually looking for content to create. I think they just started to pride themselves over finding quick and cheap solutions instead passionately seeking content to create. So that is why I believe when they think the game is falling I just think they approach just doesn't work anymore.

I am so tired of Blizzard’s formula for MMO’s that so many other MMO’s try to copy that even if this idea could potentially be great and make money, I’d want it to be out there and have someone make it so I can play an MMO id like to play again.

I feel this sentiment within the community to fear sharing and discussing ideas out of fear they would be dismissed as crap instantly. I mean come on, if Blizzard just dismisses everything as crap in their game design meetings then what exactly are they doing? I find this sentiment very frustrating. So what they dismiss every idea as crap and don't discuss anything? What? If all they do is be dismissive and be negative instead of discussing possibilities of what they could do, then how could they create content?

I actually love quite a bit of this. I think one of the biggest problems with mmo's is how static they are. A well made online game that has this much fluidity to it would be awesome!

I can see you have put a lot of effort and thought into this.

But, sadly, your ideas sound very grindy and with little to no reward...
If that's the kind of game you like, perhaps you should try Conquer Online...

    Madness will consume you!!!

The reward is the experience you get from the world and the players.. Have players of this game forgotten how that is like? In comparrison what do you actually actually get from this game? Mundane grinds of monotonous rewards with no artistic experience? What happened? Why can we accept that and deny ourselves gratification with experiences? Is paying monthly for an mmo experience realy just about constantly pressing buttons for a puple highlighted item with a tooltip on it and only that? Perhaps thats more like command and conquer and sadly ive abandoned this game for games like those causw they make more sense. Seriously what the actual fuck.

Why? WoW clones are plumetting. And people thought WoW wouldnt even to amount to so much being so diferent.

I think your basing your stats based on peoples egos. I shit sure dont mind if that plumets to 0.

And like why though? Can you imagine if Blizzard read this and that's all they say? Thats so fucking cheap.

    Skimmed through; My thoughts:

Survival aspects - don't belong in an MMO. None o' this 'stats reduced due to hunger' nonsense, please. I don't like it, never did, never will. To me it's just a clunky system that ultimately accomplishes nothing.

Flying / Transportation - The thing with flying is that it's not a problem, it's simply a tool for players to see just how little ground content there really is. If there was content to do on the ground -- we'd not be compelled to fly between point A and where we need to be. Simple as. What that means is basically 'leave flying alone' -- but do add more worthwhile content to encourage players to spend time on the ground, out of their own free will.

Raids / Dungeons - Let people solo old content. Leave that alone. BUT! Also do add timewalking, FOR EVERYONE, ALL THE TIME. This will mean that there's always content to do, and there's like 10 times as much of it as every dungeon from every expansion will become relevant again. Make it so items dropped are 5 ilvls better than your current item level (up to current 'normal' raid tier), which will mean that dungeons will remain relevant again, giving endless REWARDING content to those willing to walk that path.

Also remove LFR. It's an abomination that needs not exist.

Items - I agree, the current state of itemization and loot is one hell of a big mess that I am honestly not sure how to get out of. I've had an idea for a long time to make vendors in level-appropriate areas and capital cities sell helpful green / blue loot for local reputation (like in Ghostlands), perhaps with some unique skins -- just so people have reasons to return to the old world content and get 'that cool westfall farmer's hat'.

Mobs / solo quest content - Two words: Brawlers' Guild. Take that. Add those ideas to out-world content, slap some decent rewards on it. Boom. Awesome solo world content! Maybe add 2-5 elite quests to every area that not everyone can do with better than average / unique rewards -- not mandatory to beat the zone, but nice and rewarding for those who could. Also encouraging people to group up and/or learn their class better.

RP / Out-of-combat stuff / server leaderboards - it's cool on paper but those systems just do not work, purely because RP is an organic thing that people can do with just text. Leaderboards are a different story -- mostly because disgusting tryhards who cheese the game -always- occupy top spots, in every game. Ever. It's why I hated MoP challenge modes. They weren't encouraging skill, they encouraged cheesing and rushing for the timer with invis pots.

World events - GW2 did it, I feel like WoW can do them too. They made a tenth of a step in the right direction with WoD bonus objectives. Make them dynamic (randomly appearing in the zones, rewarding level-appropriate dungeon box); What I'm hearing of Legion class missions sounds -similar-, with the exception that you need to go take the quest, rather than just going into an are and being told 'There's demons. Kill 20, get rewards. Go!'

Instead of removing it, I would love a solo/duo mode option. Obviously the mechanics would be balanced around a single person or two people.

And like proving grounds you'd have a bunch of team mates and you can go any role you want.

That could be good too, yes. A 'raid preview' mode. With no rewards besides 'seeing content' -- as was their original excuse for implementing it. Or well; Maybe a dungeon blue. Not epics. It just offends me as a vanilla -> wotlk dungeon enthusiast how LFR basically took my job!

No need to get mad when someone disagrees with you...

I will try to be more constructive:

The main reason i personaly dislike the idea is the whole section of:
"-Players maintain the health and wellness of their character."

To me it all translates into - Grind more = be better.

You might not see the problem in that, but there are actually people in this world that cannot log in every 3-4 hours just to maintain a buff and have a fighting chance or even log in everyday... A system like this will be highly abused by those who can and be a big burnout (greater than the systems we have now and even worse than what Legion-darys are asumed to be).

Another thing about your suggestion that is quite weird, is that most of your suggestion is basicaly the primary build of a random MMO, with standarts that remind me of Runescape.

Combined with what i said earlier, i would suggest you to play another MMO, because MMO's just as you describe, do exist.

If that's the kind of game you like, perhaps you should try Conquer Online...
6 or 7 years conquer online player here. It is skill based, grindy and once you realize it, utter bullshit. But no matter how much skill you have, if your ping is shit, and/or you don't invest at least 5k USD into the game, you'll be an all time noob. On my glory days in that game I had a battle power of 325 of Max. 385 (which is now higher). Basically everyone who has at least 1 battle power more than yourself just 1 shots you.
I'd never had guessed anyone on these forums knew about CO oO.

On topic: I guess, your ideas sound okay for let's say a survival single player game, where you have nothing but your bare hands to protect yourself and where you have to build everything you could equip. For example in a dinosaur setting you could use the hide/scales of a slain Dino to make your armor. In that survival setting it would be a key feature to stay healthy and strong for the sake of not dying.

reword your stuff to say "100 - 125% buff" instead of "80-105% debuff" and people will like it more, despite it being exactly the same.

my first reaction to your ideas was a skyrim modded with all those hunger, disease, freeze to death, and other realism mods. AKA not the things that made skyrim a financial success, but a nice bonus mode for a small niche sub-audience.

I am not mad, it's just my opinion. And yes I play tons of games. WoW can be a frustrating and that is really just is my opinion. just because I dont have a happy go lucky view of the game doesn't make me mad, im just saying its frustrating. And I do play lots of other games other than WoW. thanks for the feedback I will read it soon.

I don't really feel its grindy though. People do nothing sitting in orgrimmar doing nothing sometimes, nice reminders to go out and do something in the world every 30 minutes, 2 hours, seems like a fair way to keep the world alive and active. Plus sorry I forgot to put a leveling speed but quest and killing monsters reward tons of experience now being that they are harder. Completing 1 part of a quest chain could grant 1 level. Completing 1 progression of an interest grants 1 level.

Killing a wolf is 1 bar of experience at level 20 but random monsters are alot harder. Sports, recreational activities, quizzes, also grant experience. Everything grants experience.Quest consist only of Important plot lines, and Class quest teaching you how to utlize your abilities in combat or as part of a rotation. Also proffession grants experience plus has interest within it that grant even more xp. So when you think of it leveling for one week would get you to level 60 or more and all the while being trained and familiarized with your class ability, the story, your personal interest as a player, and how to have fun at the world.

So im so sorry for leaving such an important part of my idea behind. Please id like to know what youd think now, and also sorry for assuming a bit on what you couldve meant, they were more my opinion than anything. Also I am just frustrated with people being afraid to voice out their voices and opinions. Can you imagine if Blizzard just says "nope, cause that idea is terrible" to ideas at their meetings. I mean seriously if thats what they do then wat are the doing wth the game. I just feel frustating feel this sentiment within the community to have this phobia about discussing and sharing ideas.

The entire casual market, the "silent majority" of WoW gets totally fucked over by this as it requires so much more micromanagement. Such gameplay is more befitting to a single player RPG.

Micromangement only happens every 20, 30 minutes of inactivity within the game so the players can find something to do instead of sitting down in Orgrimmar.

And define me casual? What does it mean to be pro? Does it mean not having fun? Does it mean grinding the same things over and over again while being shy of having some form of adventure within the game?

In this formula of MMO, you can be as grindy as you want. Go ahead practice your dungeons and raids and then go for the harder ones, what exactly prevents people from being hardcore? Is it some joy?

If the micromanagement is too much it could always be buffed up to hours more.

I want un metered clean electricity. Go and get Fusion Reactors working already.

It is one thing for a designer to write things down new ideas. It is another to go and tell the engineers to make it happen.

Some of things you listed have not happen because, despite people complaining about it, making it work is hard.

As they say, talk is cheap.

A curious question I have is: What is fun within WoW right now within the game?
