Bernie Sanders: college sexual assault cases should be handled by police

Why wouldn't it be handled by the police? I don't think the university has any business arbitrarily punishing accused students or burying accusations. Let the police sort it out with a proper investigation.

That's another thing. A lot, LOT of universities try to convince victims to not seek out the police just so they can save face and avoid statistics. They don't actually care about what happened one way or the other, as long as it doesn't get out.
