    Iran has every right to sue Google if Google is operating illegally within their country, while capitalizing on Iranian citizens. Being free has nothing to do with it. Facebook is a business, and like all business are subject to the laws of all the countries they operate in.

    It's a burden they willingly take on when they decide to become a multinational corporation.

    what classifies as operating? be accessed by the citizens? i doubt they have any physical buildings there or even care about the iranian market one bit...

    Good, the censorship of the Internet has been going too far these past few years.

    This is a decent victory against such censorship.

    You could connect the dots and figure that X is a factual reality: they do operate in France and are subject to their legislation.
