Similar to an unholy death knight in WoW, a shadow knight in everquest, or a dark templar in AoC what other games let you play as a dark knight?
and I do mean a knight/warrior not a rogue I hate those.

FF14 has Dark Knight, which is a two handed warrior with some "dark" spells. No zombie raising and the like, but it fits the theme fairly well, with hp draining abilities, self heals and the like.
However, it's not available without expansion and grinding through the entire vanilla quest line first, which is *a long* time.

I think it's a common enough trope that you'll find some analogue in many MMORPGs with over 9 classes.

There is black guard class in neverwinter nights 2 and as for enchanced edition Icewind dale.

EQ Shadow Knight was probably my favorite iteration of the archetype.
2nd Favorite would be Rift using the Reaver Soul Tree.
I think what made EQ SK so good was the whole theme of sapping energies from your opponent to empower yourself. That's why I don't really like the WoW DK as much thematically.

Final fantasy tactics has the best dark knight.

gw2 has rev, ff has dark knight too =P
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35

Also, Warframe is getting a Dark/Death Knight style frame soon as well. I only know this because one of my friends won't stop talking my ear off about the game on Steam every fucking waking moment I'm on it.

I remember making one in EQ2 and for a while they added the "fun" ability to kill people with a button. You weren't actually killing them, imagine a hunter's feign death but forced on someone. Those were the days. Many tears were shed at lost "?" shineys and mining nodes to my Shadow Knight. Originally Posted by ro9ue
