Do you consider visiting Space? Becoming an astronaut?

It was every little boy's dream to be an astronaut growing up in my generation (X). Until the reality of it really sank in January 1986.

I was always one of the "I want to be an astronaut when I grow up" kids, but then I got older and realized there's a bit more involved with it than what I thought as a kid. :P

I mean if we ever get to the point where the average person can just go to space on a whim without breaking the bank, then yeah. $250k is still pretty far beyond what I'd consider "affordable" though.

Absolutely not. As fun as it would be to experience zero gravity for a bit, if I had 250k to burn on a day trip above the atmosphere I'd rather just give it to charity.
