quick question for the Moderators

Why am I unable to post Videos? they always end up being links, not videos. I been meaning to ask this for a while, but in a recent thread on Off-Topic people are posting videos of music and I had a song video to link, but the video from youtube just became a link.

Example:

Because you can't link to the shortened link, you have to use the full link. For the video you linked it would have to be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc with the video tags around it, not the youtu.be shortened link.
