    Why don't you feel betrayed?

The whole point of having only 2 raid tiers in Warlords of Draenor was so they could get to yearly expansions and shorten the content drought between expansions. Now it is already 9 months since they released Hellfire Citadel. It looks like it will be at least another 3 months of no new content, possibly 6 months.

A lot of people left, because they've lost the trust in Blizzard. What I wanna know is, from all the people that are still here, who plan on buying Legion and continuing to play World of Warcraft - why don't you feel betrayed?

Cause it's a video game and I'm not a child? Honestly if you don't like it don't buy it anymore. WoW's not high enough on my priority list to feel betrayed by.

Because you've been lurking mmo-c for 10 years but only played WoW for 7.

    pretty over dramatic.

Because Blizzard aren't my parents. And WoW isn't my wife.

    1) I dont raid
    2) Im not a manchild who cant hit the unsub button and play any other of the million games out there

I would preorder Legion even if they announced it would have NO raids .. I would play it on launch day and keep playing until I do the content I want to, then wait for patch (even without raid a patch can have zone, dungeons, world content etc.)

Betrayed is too strong a word. Disappointed or frustrated are probably more accurate. Life's too short to feel betrayed about game design choices.

I don't feel "betrayed" because they were pretty open about it the whole time. There was no "surprise! third raid cancelled" moment.

I knew what I was getting into.

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Because feeling betrayed about a video game is the least of my priorities at the moment.

    Why would I?
They fail to keep me entertained and I unsub till they are again able to do so.
Been there, done that. Several times.

To feel betrayed I'd have to actually put anything towards that promise, which I didn't.

Because if I had felt "betrayed" every time a video game didn't meet up to my expectations I would have like no free time. Video game companies aren't your best friend deal with it. Their primary objective among many is profit.

    This pretty much.

I hate what blizzard did to the game in WoD, and I sure lost a lot of respect and trust for what they say, but I won't feel like they betrayed me. They never really said "we WILL do xyz" just "we would like to". Have to hope for the best and expect the worst.

Betrayed is the right word... they scam us with promising content faster FOR YEARS.

You lied to your men and betrayed the players who pays for you

Biggest WoW Team ever = Less content ever

    Kotick Mai 2013

To address this, we're working to release new content more frequently to keep our players engaged longer and make it easier for lapsed players to come back into the game

    2010 interview

Will it be as long of a wait to fight Deathwing as it was for Lich King?

Hopefully not, we definitely have a goal to get our content patches out more quickly than we have in the past, without sacrificing quality of course, we plan for deathwing to be the most amazing encounter we've ever made! =]

    blizzcon 2014 interview

"Our goal is certainly to release expansions a little faster than we have been," said lead game designer Ion Hazzikostas during an interview at BlizzCon. "I know we've been saying that for years. You can go back and find quotes from 2008 about how we're gonna release one expansion per year. Ultimately that always got hung up on, 'Well, we're not gonna release before we feel it's actually done to a Blizzard level of quality. That tended to take closer to two years. But we've increased the size of our team, and we feel like we're in a place where we should be able to move faster than before

    2015 interview

    2015

GamesBeat: Has anything about the content in the Warlords expansion disappointed you?

    Hazzikostas: - " -

We felt that was a little silly to keep running the same content as you got stronger and stronger and stronger, still getting that reward, which is why we removed something like valor points. But I think we went too far.

Timewalking,Legion run dungeons again and again.... actually upgrading dungeon is easier than providin gnew content... just use the same dungeon models... upgrade level do it again and again

they fucking with us since years

Because everyone with a brain larger than a peanut saw it coming a mile away.

Difficult to feel "betrayed" when you know it is going to happen from the start.

Also, there is such a thing as "other games". WoW doesn't mandate a monogamous lifetime commitment to play, you know?
