Legion Ret/Prot PvP Footage

Found some Legion footage for Ret PvP by a dude name "drownlord". It's in German, but at least it's some footage.

I've gotta say, Ret looks terrible. Half the time, the Ret was just running around trying to catch up to people and just dying the in the process. It was kind of cringe-worthy. Granted, everything is unbalanced right now, and he wasn't using Divine Steed, but it just goes to show that if you don't take Divine Steed, you're just dead. Our uptime on targets sucks the big one, and things are even worse considering that our Mastery is going to play like crap in PvP when it's so hard to get in the fight and stay in the fight. Not to mention how lackluster our damage is. For the immobile juggernauts that we're supposed to be, our damage is nowhere near juggernaut worthy.

Towelliee on the other hand performed much better as Prot. He still died a lot and suffered from the same mobility issues, but I thought he had much better survive-ability and the extra ranged damage from Avenger's Shield + utility from things like Judgement of Light made me much more excited to play Prot and not Ret.

Watching Swifty playing on the Alpha PvP server ATM, and Prot paladins seem very tough at least. Swifty's calling them "raid bosses" in PvP :P .

Meh Prot seems "OK" (also wars are not in a great spot atm), hunters/dhs/enh/fire mages/ferals( and shadows?) seem to be at the top of the food chain, and Ret as always at the bottom since Blizzard can never balance us, we are too OP at start for a short period of time, and then we get hit with a nerf bat between our legs, and spend rest of xpac on the floor.

Ret looks terrible. Prot is just better at everything on Alpha.
