Dallas definitely did not take the night off and the Lions definitely are no match for the Cowboys, tonight and I think this season should they meet again. Lions seem to have no answer to Dallas passing game without opening themselves up in major ways to the running game. They can't handle both at the same time (and neither can most of the league).

Stafford's finger is probably messing with him, since he has looked bad since it happened. Wouldn't have mattered when the Lions defense can't stop anything though.

My only regret with this performance is my friends from Detroit and how it is making them feel. I hate that they have been so deflated by the second half.

For someone that has been around Lions fans for a long time, they are conditioned for failure.

Playing Dallas this season is just hard. You have to have a defense that can defend against the run AND the pass in 1 package and slow down the amount of points Dallas scored (key word, slow down, can't stop them) and then you have to have an offense that can keep pace with Dallas without relying on the pass too much or you get the Dallas pass rush package that Gruden mentioned several times where they put several passrushers on the field with 6 DB's.

Giants obviously match up against the Cowboys well, and I think the Seahawks and Chiefs can too on a good night with their defenses. Steelers and Falcons might on a good day, but it would be a tremendous shootout. Patriots should be able to turn Dallas tricks against them on Offense, and I'm guessing Belichick could cook up a defensive plan that could slow the Cowboys down. Raiders might have with Carr healthy, but without him I don't think they can win the shootout. Packers I think don't have enough to beat the Cowboys unless the stars aligned. The other playoff hopefuls I think just generally lack something.

Biggest problem for everyone is the road goes through Dallas. No 12th man for Seattle if we play them.

Yep. That's why I'm fervently hoping the Patriots come to play next week-end, cause it is SO much better to have the homefield advantage in the playoffs.
