Should Elite Conquest gear be available outside of PvP ?

Tbh, I have not made my mind up on that matter because PvE and PvP are two different animals. PvP needs more incentive to push people into PvP. PvE does not.

That changes in Legion. The best gear obtained via PvP will be from the highest ratings in PvP.

Elite conquest gear is such a waste of resources, only the elitist 1%'ers will ever get them anyway. I'm sick of a vocal minority stealing my content, they should just put all the rewards in arena skirmishes.

Yeah, that 30 mins of recoloring an already existing art asset and a computer adjusting its stats is stealing your content.

Would you support the availability of Elite Conquest-quality gear from other sources, outside of PvP? That is, provided the activity requires the same amount of time and effort to complete as PvPing.

• PvE

Personally I vote yes. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to obtain the best equipment in the game if you spend several hours each day gathering rare reagents or running Mythic dungeons with your friends. As long as you invest time and effort, PvP shouldn't be the only route towards the best loot.

I vote No, there is already a way to get Elite Conquest gear, dont want to earn it that way fine, dont get the gear.
I also vote No, about Mythic raid gear being available outside of Mythic raids.

The answer is simple, want something do what is necessary to earn it. Want Mythic raid gear, raise your game to the level of mythic raiding, want Elite Conquest gear, raise your game to the level of elite PVP.

And I say this as someone who's highest character is only 707, I know if I want something better I have to raise my game to that level. period. full stop.

I personally think its very stupid for them to make unique looking sets that will only be available to 0.01% of their players or less. The WoD season 1 dk set is imo the best dk set they've made, aaaaaaaaand its gone!!! Only a few hundred DKs got to get it because pretty much nobody is 2200+ nowadays.

There's only 2696 players rated 2200 or above in the US, and 4805 in EU. Just doesn't make sense to make exclusive content for a few thousand players when the game has millions of players.

Lets be honest now this is the case... I hate to see customization options removed. One of my biggest complaints about the bmah is that it doesn't carry removed green quality transmog items.

I would like to see elite conquest skins obtainable but in a way that feels fair. Perhaps instead of removing them they have them cost 100 point less per pvp season to make obtaining old sets comparable to raiding? Have them slowly be easier and easier to obtain over time while preserving the status symbol of the current season?

Same answer like the mythic gear one in the other topic: No, hell no.
There are sooo many welfare epics in WoW right now, it is really enough. You can also craft Heroic BiS gear. At some point you just have to do the actual content to get the actual rewards. Without entering any raid (including LFR) and any instance you can get full epic 695 itemlevel. That should be more than enough to continue questing.

So no, don't give high end loot for low end content.

If you want high level PvP rewards, go and do some PvP.

Mythic Raiders are quick enough to defend their corner of the game and preach to keep it sacred, the same should be allowed for PvP'ers.

Why would it not? If a player can gear up his pvp set outside of pvp, he does not have to pvp as much during that gearing process. Common sense is hard I suppose.

Competition starts when both sides are equal (or close enough) in gear. Then skill competition starts. But looks like you don't want fair competition, you just like roflstomping greengeared people in their gearing process.

Or did you talk about ilvl 740 vs 630 competition? Yea that's so f.cking competitive... But I have to agree, oneshotting people 100 ilvls below you is very funny. Without a doubt.
