70k DPS Sustained Good Enough for Mythic Raiding?

Just wanted to ask the Mythic raiders on the forums, do you think that if a player can pull 70k sustained DPS, is that high enough for mythic difficulty?

What do you think the threshold is or should be as a minimum to enter Mythic difficulty, seeing as how the dps requirements are lower for lower HFC bosses, and higher for upper bosses?

Depends on ilevel and fight. If everyone is sustaining 70k on heroic arch with heroic gear, then sure they're probably more than ready to start mythic, but the number should generally go up as you get deeper in.

If everyone is doing 70k on mythic zakuun with the ~730 ilevel you'll have when you get there, then yeah you're going to run into problems.

For the lower bosses 60kish sustained on single target is enough to kill the bosses more is better obviously, with 70k you have enough dps for almost everything if you and your guild can deal with mechanics. Mythic is mechanics > dps, the dps checks are trivialized with the ring anyway.

Ring is obviously going into what your sustained DPS is though... The ring won't trivialize things if you're still only doing 70k dps while using it.

Agree'd 70k is on the lower end of mythic for sure.

This tier more than ever before, it's difficult/pointless to try to peg a number that is "good" dps. It varies wildly based on what fight, your raid's collective dps, and how much your class benefits from where your team uses the ring. You have to assess yourself on a fight to fight basis and using comparisons to teams using similar strats/kill times.

Didnt say 70k with ring tho, but i guess since most people have 795 rings nowadays 70k is pretty low. He was asking how much dps is needed to kill mythic bosses and if 70k is enough short answer is yes since most top 200 guilds did the first 6-7 without rings and doing shitty dps compared to a guild starting mythic with 795 rings and heroic gear everywhere so yes ring does trivialize dps checks by alot.

depends on the gear level.

with rings and 720 gear yeah probably, my warlock without leg ring and no 4 piece @ 722 does 70-80k on zakuun/reaver/arch.

If you have 795 rings and 730+ ilvls, you're in for a world of hurt after the first 5 bosses.
