Help me come back to WoW

I've been addicted to this game for so long, it even messed up with my studies at some point. But now, i can't even play a whole week before being bored. I've tried coming back multiple times. The longest i've played recently was two months when i lvled some of my characters to 100 and tried some 10 mans.

Is it nostalgia? I still feel like i want to play, i miss the old days when i raided with friendly guilds. Has WoW changed that much?

Everything seems bland. Linear questing, gearing up is just a big grind, lack of challenging content for non-geared characters, PvP is mostly about who has the best gear. I even start to hate the complex class rotations and priority system, not that it's hard, but it's more like "World of User Interface" now with every aspect of a fight tied to your UI with addons and such.

Am i missing something from the game? Something that would make it interesting again?

Threads like this end up being rather pointless because no one can tell you what to like or how to like a game. It's something you need to figure out for yourself.
