Who Do You Support In Syria?

If you had to choose one (or several) faction to support, which would it be and why?

  2. #2
    Best poll ever...

I support anything and everything that makes it as bloody and as expensive as possible for the Russians, Iran, Hezbollah and ISIS.

Syria is a depopulated country of maybe 19 million now with infrastructure that will take decades and hundreds of billions of dollars to repair. Nobody "wins" Syria who ends up keeping it in the end.

So let's bleed everyone we don't like before moving on to bigger and better things.

I voted ISIS just because this is a stupid question to even ask.

None. If I HAD to choose I might go with Kurds, but not enthusiastically.

    Assad.

Even if he's Lucifer himself, an actual government as heinous as it may be is better than a bunch of fanatic rebels fighting over control.

#ThanksObama and kudos to Putin, he showed the world just what a fool Obummer is

None of them, they are all bad.

What makes me sad here is I don't know. All the info is conflicting, all the info has an air of lies about it. I'm actually at a point that I'm not sure who is really the best. My guess is ISIS is bad for sure or Daeish or whatever. Same with Al Qada. Assad I know is not good, but I'm not sure the evil extent. I'm going to assume he sucks cause that is what i'm led to believe all around me. Really, just what is happening to those people fucking sucks and whatever is the best solution to get it to stop.

Nobody. As long as it remains a money pit for the Russians.

I think that Kurdistan should become a country.

I think that the rebel government and Assad's government should negotiate a settlement, I assume Assad would not leave office willingly, but who knows... Maybe Russia can convince him. Then both should focus on destroying the likes of ISIL and Al-Nusra.

I am sure Assad is willing to make concessions, but how many and to what extent, no idea. I think any concession is worth ending the war, it is better than continuing the fighting that the rebels are clearly not winning and benefits no one.

    ... Those poll options...

The FSA is probably the lesser of the belligerents but I don't think the situation in Syria would get any better if Assad was removed. Probably worse because many groups and warlords would take the opportunity to sop up some of the power and the FSA needs effective political leaders if they want any sort of long lasting stability.

On the other hand does stability of a tyrant justify not removing him? Many leaders of the past certainly wouldn't agree with that idea. Something something those who trade security or liberty or whatever. It's not my fight though.

That actually exists, so it would be them for the same reason.

...but it is not them because I have Syrian friends who are mostly Christian, so reluctantly Assad.

My answer is the Institute. So what ending do I get to see when this is all finished? Do I just get the same cut scene ending if I choose to support other factions?

Assad. But its only because the alternatives are much worse.
