No, the only difference seems to be your utter ignorance. I don´t remember any cows, chickens or pigs being skinned alive or beaten to death with sticks around here. Animal welfare is actually pretty important, even the ones we eat. But the difference escapes you it seems.

Animals are treated very differently from countrey to country. EU will not even let american poultry cross the border due to ammonia cleansing. etc.

Thinking otherwise is simply pure delusion. Pain has a very simple role - it allows an animal to recognize negative stimuli. How in the nine circles of hell is this something we need more than any other animal? The answer is we don't. In fact, any animal with a nervous system that has the ability to react to its environment probably feels something like pain. Point is, don't fucking boil lobsters alive. Have the decency to stab them in the brain 5 seconds before you throw them in the pot - their nervous system will still be capable of reacting to the stimulus of the water and heat (for at least a minute or two) and do whatever the hell their body has to do to taste slightly better.

Chickens really have it bad, I agree. But let´s have some context here. Which country? Some treat animals a lot worse than others (USA).. However chickens are not regarded as loving family pets by 80% of the world.

Exactly. He's claiming equivalence (at least) when there's at best considerable doubt on the topic. And that's even before the simple thermodynamics of heat transmission will overheat a lobster brain in a few seconds compared to the much longer agony a human would endure while being boiled alive in water.
