    [arcane] Worth to swap pieces?

I need help... right now I'm using:

    http://www.wowhead.com/item=124171/r...&bonus=564:566 and http://www.wowhead.com/item=124174/p...rons&bonus=567

    I'd like to swap to:

    http://www.wowhead.com/item=124170/r...&bonus=565:567 and http://www.wowhead.com/item=124177/m...lave&bonus=567

Of course all 2/2 upgraded. Basically, I would gain 15 itemlevel on the chest and 5 on the shoulders, for a total of 72 more int. The downside: id lose 2 pieces both haste+mastery for 2 pieces that are 2x crit/ms/haste.

Is it worth it? Does 72 int really outweight the huge loss of haste (from 2150 to 1725) and mastery (from 3086 to 2739) ? I'd also have to regem/reenchant a lot of stuff to go back to 2150 haste so in the end to make it short:

    72 int + 620 crit + 230 ms is better than the 750 mastery i lose?

You have to sim it since formulating this without a simulation is not something I've seen working better than a simulation lately, if ever. If I were to guess I would say the higher ilevels since they also have that extra socket similarly. But I would still sim it.

Arcane doesn't care much about secondaries unless it's versatility, with a higher prio for haste/mastery so I would be surprised the 2nd set isn't better. But as I said, I wouldn't trust that kind of thinking without a sim.

Arcane is just a big ilvl whore, every secondary is okay besides versatility.
For a definite answer, you should sim it.
Regarding your concern about haste: I've been playing around from anything between 1800 and ~2400 haste, and my results during raid have been very similiar. Well, at least as much as this can be said with the current Arcane Mage variance.

And if one is on a troll I wouldn't be surprised if it needs even lower than that. I hover around 1400 and sims keep telling me the balance is right. Only problem is outside bloodlust or berserking the class does feel a bit slow, and that is an issue for me since it makes mechanics harder to follow, so I'm debating if it's better to waste some deeps for utility.
