Yes, but you see, some women don't like that, as it makes them feel insecure about their own position. They feel threatened. So, they want everyone else to play by the same rules that they want to - pretense, in a word (mind-games, essentially).
It's the same reason we have modern-day third-wave feminism trying to tell everyone else how to behave. Exactly the same reason/motivation.
Getting these people to be honest with themselves is a monumental task, however (in fact, doing the opposite goes part and parcel with the whole thing).

So, do you feel the same way about pornography? Cos there are a shedload of people who pay for that in the world. And if you don't, why not?

Also, why is paying for sexual release so taboo to you, but paying for other physical therapies is totally fine? Some people get paid massages (and similar services) simply for the human contact, and not for any medical reason.
As a rule, I still don't understand why sex (or anything remotely pertaining to it) is still so demonised these days, amongst non-religious folks... It seems these archaic belief-systems are still very much influencing our perceptions, values, morals/ethics, thoughts and behaviour even now ...
I can't say I agree with all of it, but this is a good, direct, logical and thought-provoking post - especially when it comes to the hypocrisy and puritanism of those who see themselves as rational and non-religious (although feminists are illogical most of the time anyway)
I do think there's a pride issue for me (and others) when it comes to paying for sex.
I completely understand the necessity of it in the old traditional days when marriage was de rigeur and normal women just couldn't sleep around or they would get pregnant, but these days with contraception, Tinder etc it has never been easier to get laid with no consequences.

After Reading through this forum, I'd like to add something here...
1) Let's face it. Women hold the power when it comes to sex. Most women will deny it, but most if not all, have used sex as a weapon, incentive, or control. It is one of the most fundamental things that they can wield. Wives use it as a "Good Boy" and they withhold it to manipulate a situation. "If you buy that/go there! No sex later!"
2) I have found that a majority of women like Tilli that as 100% against it are ones that have used it a mean to an end in a relationship. See above, it is a loss of power in the situation. How can they withhold from someone something that they can go pay for?
3) It is one of the worlds oldest professions... Why? again see above... Women hold the key. Some will openly sell that "key"
4) reason prostitution is illegal in most of the US States is mainly because it is hard it control and tax. In Nevada, some counties have legalized it. The girls are checked VERY regularly and they pay their taxes.

A term used as a taunt/peer pressure technique to shape popular opinion through shame and humiliation.

It's entirely possible both to be and argue in favor of legalized prostitution (as I do with some frequency) without resorting to demonizing the majority of women. It's too bad you have such a low opinion of women, as if you know "most women" and can speak with authority about their private behavior, but lots of women are in favor of legalizing prostitution. From what I've seen of women who oppose it, most of their objections are based on misguided impulses to protect prostitutes, rather than some feared loss of manipulation power. If / when you become a trustworthy man, you'll probably trust women more.
Sorry but it is called REALITY. You know what... Men would do that same if the ball was in their court. It is not a gender issue as much as a HUMAN issue. Human nature is to exploit an advantage. we do it in games, nature, politics, LIFE.
If you read into my post as me not trusting women. wow you are badly mistaken. All I have done is strip away pretense and look at the humanistic level of it. take or leave it. I know not ALL women do these things. But I ask you to SERIOUSLY look at the world, life, media, and them honestly tell me if this is NOT what you see happen a lot.

It's only degrading if the person doing it feels degraded by it. So, it depends.
Your grossly limited perspective on the "fundamental" nature of human behavior (but mostly women's, let's be real) does not equal objective reality. A guy who says things like, "Most women will deny it, but most if not all, have used sex as a weapon, incentive, or control. It is one of the most fundamental things that they can wield. Wives use it as a "Good Boy" and they withhold it to manipulate a situation. "If you buy that/go there! No sex later!"

And there's nothing wrong with that.
I can't speak for him, but I make certain that a prospective date understands that the physical aspect takes priority (there can be sex without attachment, but no attachment without sex). If we hit it off, great. If not, that's cool, too. /shrug

You don't have to be on top, dude.
So to be clear, you don't believe that experience builds confidence?
