Overwatch is getting a new mode: BRAWLS! This gamemode features a new gimmick every week, with 14 datamined ones so far:

Ranging from McCree only to Random hero to "Moba" mode.

It's a great addition, but...

This one is kinda eh in my opinion. Doubling the Health pool made it really annoying trying to kill Genji's who could just dart away since 2 second CD on his abilities meant basically 100% you're getting away.

Should of made it shorter respawns if anything, it's not like defense can't just use their crazy HP pool to run right back in and heal up anyway at the last point.

The Genji/Hanzo mode is a flop in my book. I played one match of it and noped the fuck out of that. Nobody picks Hanzo because you're just a free kill and Genjis jumping around and having pretty much 100% uptime on deflect made the match long, drawn out and most importantly boring. A Hanzo only mode would have been better imo

these are just meant to be mindless fun, worked pretty well during the hanfull of matches i tried. I was a hanzo nailing genji's all over. Just need your genji's on the front line.

Hanzo is definitely harder. It's worth having at least one if only for his ulti though. Otherwise you can get into a never ending battle for the point because they just keep charging back in and contesting for ages.

It was good fun, the others are currently up on Overpwn and theres 14 atm and they all look pretty good. I think we should make the Genji brawl changes permanent and everyone else be the same
The moba one, Arcade and mystery heroes all sound the best atm.

I'm glad that Smite's "Match of the day" is being reused - it's good to have optional "for fun" mode.

Loving the arcade brawl

Pharah Barrage every 20 seconds is so awesome even though it rarely kills anyone

Lucio's a real bummer though, never overhealing with E is a lot of healing.

The only Brawl I genuinely do not like is Random/Mystery Brawl. It is honestly more frustrating than fun. I really like the Pharah+Mercy Brawl from yesterday. Getting some good practice aiming at people in the air is pretty enjoyable.

The "short CDs and more HP" brawl was nuts. Had something like a 30 minute game, mostly on the payload in overtime. Crazy!

agreed. What was the point of 100hp? To make the game feel like call of duty? Worst brawl of them yet. They have these really neat ideas but then there is that one stupid mechanic that ruins everything. Mercy pharah was the instant spawn, 76 is the 100 hp genji honzo was the infinite reflects.

I thought the 76 brawl was kind of fun actually. It def felt very COD-esque. I was surprised at how well I did in that game mode. The movement and overall gameplay feel of it felt eerily familiar to COD and I guess it's like riding a bike, you never forget
