Jian Ghomeshi will take time to "reflect and move forward" following his acquittal on four counts of sexual assault and one count of choking by an Ontario court judge.

Ghomeshi, 48, and his lawyer Marie Henein had said nothing as they exited the courthouse following the ruling. but later Thursday evening, the former CBC Radio host's legal team released a statement.

It said that Ghomeshi has been rightly acquitted of the charges and that despite the unprecedented scrutiny and pressure, the case was determined on the evidence heard in a court of law.

"In our system of justice, that is what must happen in every case regardless of who is accused or what crime is alleged. That is precisely what occurred in this case," the statement said.
People are also salty about the verdict and the SJWs flocked to try and ridicule the judge on social media.

Either way, just another case where the people doing the accusing were not only consenting of his behavior and regretted it later, they couldn't provided consistent testimony to create guilt. Neither could the courts prove his innocence, but they certainly didn't have the evidence to find Ghomeshi guilty. Tennisace and the like must be fuming over this one, just like the SJWs were upset when a Toronto man was found not guilty of harassment for insulting two feminists on Twitter last year because they were baiting him.

Now begins the lawsuit against the CBC for wrongful dismissal.

Kind of silly, because many women have actually gotten guilty verdicts in these types of cases.

I am not condoning it, but court has never really been about what actually happened- it is always about what you can prove...... any lawyer will tell you that. Unfortunately, these things can be hard to prove.

And this was a case where the "victims" couldn't generate proof and their testimonies were inconsistent enough to generate doubt that there was significant wrongdoing on the part of Ghomeshi, at least enough to not convict him of a crime anyway.
