So obviously it is not a crusade about sexy poses in general. It is about something that in her eyes did not fit that specific character.

I'd take more issue with her attire being the cause for such a pose to result in a 'sexy' appeal. Other characters in the game have that exact same pose, and it doesn't sexualize them whatsoever. However, Tracer's skin-tight pants have created a situation where a harmless pose (It's literally just a character looking over his/her shoulder) has accentuated her posterior features.

This seems like the kind of thing that should have been an issue when the character was initially shown to be wearing skin-tight pants. It's almost as though people suddenly realized "Oh hey, that character is wearing tight clothing" and want to blame it on the pose that brought that little fact to light.

I just seized upon what was most relevant to my argument. Maybe it was tunnel-vision, sure, but I did read your post.

And I didn't accuse you of not reading mine, just that you missed the point of it.

Ok, fair enough.

While you acknowledged that the pose was generic, you also addressed them changing it because it didn't fit her character... even though, as we both seem to agree, it's an innocuous pose that doesn't affect her characterization at all.

I think the way they communicated this both initially and in followup is what makes this seem like 'an issue'. I think the issue is twofold in reality, one that it's really lame and lazy (which they likely know, since they copied it to other heroes) and two, that it's just showing you her butt in a really weird, neck breaking model pose which is out of character, but also misconstrued to 'people' as sexy. I think the failing in being lame and not fully embodying her character is what gives room to criticize the pose's supposed sexuality. Does that make sense? It was their job to make sure there was no misunderstanding by designing the best pose possible from the get go.

B/c it doesn't clearly define who she is, it leaves room for other people to interpret it with whatever they see...and that thing they see is a skintight, leather clad glute show.

That's the sad reality of any subject touching on social issues nowadays. There's two sides of extremists shouting at each other, and any civil discussion becomes white noise.
