    Trumps advisor jumps ship

I don't know if this has been posted yet. But it wasnt on the past 3-4 pages and i assume it wouldve been debated more. But Stephanie Cegielski is allegedly Trumps strategic advisor and she's come out saying he's a huge self-centered moron, basically.

I fully agree with her statement and it makes sense, but the question to ask if she's actually some "top strategic advisor" or just a woman that's seen the light. The statement lose it's relevance somewhat if she's just an ordinary Trump campaign advisor.

"I don't think even Trump thought he would get this far. And I don’t even know that he wanted to, which is perhaps the scariest prospect of all.

He certainly was never prepared or equipped to go all the way to the White House, but his ego has now taken over the driver's seat, and nothing else matters. The Donald does not fail. The Donald does not have any weakness. The Donald is his own biggest enemy."

I'm curious as to where Trump supporters stand on this, do you still think he's fit for president? Or are you still just rooting for him because he's not Clinton?

as long as he's not clinton, i don't really care if he's the fusion dance of adolf hitler and joseph stalin.

he's a walking ego that'll never get half his shit to happen, because he's got both democrats and republicans against him. at worst he'll be a typical republican just to get things done.

They don't give a fuck. Silly question to ask, if you know anything about them.

I guess we'll just have to see.

My current theory which is supported by a number of commentators (Ben Shapiro, Charles Krauthammer, Andrew Klavan, etc) is that Trump's only real shot is the economy crashing, a major terrorist attack or a huge new scandal about Hillary or Obama happening within a month of the election.

If Trump wins the Republican nomination, I think he'll change his tone, he has to.

Well at least you agree on one part. But really, the hate for Clinton is unreal if you actually think that. I don't like her, but she's the better candidate of the two, by far. Trump is a businessman, sure he gets shit done in his own company, but on the cost of others? Not really what you want as a leader of a whole nation.

Well yeah... It's like that with every new president. They are still all "HOPE AND CHAAAAAAAAAAAANGE YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" and then they go into their first joint chiefs of staff meeting, and come out with a grim look on their face and look 10 years older.

You say that, but this advisor says he's too far up his own ass to actually change anything.

I didnt really care much about it (Trump leading etc) until i read this and how far down in the shit his ego is (if true, i bet Trump will sue her).

Plenty of others who know him throughout the years that say he's a decent human being. A successful businessman, who despite numerous setbacks, has maintained an empire that is the envy of most. He's worked with people across the board and gets things done, which is something that can't be said for most politicians... including...

Cruz, a "Conservative" that everyone hates. He doesn't get along with the Democrats... he doesn't get along with the Republicans... God knows he won't get the independents... This is before his current *cough* kerfuffle regarding hookers and what not... He won't get 1237... he won't get picked in a brokered convention.

Kasich? Bit player that has shown he can't drive the votes. He won't get the votes (can't at this point). He won't get picked either, if it comes down to it.

KKKillary? KKK supporter. KKK supported. Responsible for dead Americans. Benghazi. Watergate. Etc. Epitome of corrupt, white, rich politician... and to top all of that off... She couldn't win with a full field to compete against in 2008... she lost to an upstart, one term Senator... Now, when she's all but bought the election - where is the real competition? Warren? Biden? etc - she can't even win against a socialist who wouldn't have a shot in hell given real competition!

Bern? To unimportant not to be paid to stay out of the election. Socialist. FREE FREE FREE! from a country that'll be 20trillion in debt when/if he takes over... No real work history... no real experience... same issues as Cruz: No one will work with him and he'll accomplish nothing.

Leaves us Trump... the ultimate "outsider". When all of those in power... the elites... hate someone? That's who I'll vote for.
[color=blue]This thread has lived beyond its life expectancy. ... It's also met the forum quota for posters insulting the intelligence of their peers to grasp the age-old upper hand in argumentation, I believe officially coined by Plato: "Ur, like, dumb and that's why I'm right." Zarhym

I can agree with this part for sure.
If Hilary would stop, for whatever reason, that would mean a Trump vs Sanders election.

In such a scenario, many people could/would vote for Trump simply because they don't want a socialist president. Many people also wouldn't vote at al because they don't want either. In both cases, Trump could actually win because of this.

I mean, it's your point of view. But you're essentially not electing the man/woman, but the "ideas" for change that they have. Just because Trump is anti-establishment doesn't mean he will make life any better for you. It's what it should come down to, what will they actually do? What have they done previously? Actions is what's important, and Trump have shown to shit on "the common guy" if it elevates himself, is that a presidential attribute?

This election is going to be "who we hate the least" and I don't see that swaying anyone.

Yep. This is just more confirmation of what I've suspected for a while - Trump is "honest" in the sense of the candidate we see is 100% of the real Trump, and exactly what anyone foolish enough to vote for him is going to get: narcissism, ego, petty bigotry and hate, lies, reality denial and name-calling; an ability to conduct politics on par with any other 13-year old entitled rich kid. To repeat myself, people can come up with some imaginary Trump who wouldn't be all bad (that there are many voters trying so hard to do exactly that is a testament to how bad things have gotten in the US) but Trump has shown none of the positive qualities people pretend to assign him.

No, the election is going to be about who people hate the most. Then go out in huge numbers and vote against that person, typically you get the most voter turn out when voters hate something. In the general election, Trump would get absolutely crushed by who ever he faces, it will not even matter who it may be.

How is an inherited multibillionaire from New York who has spent years rubbing shoulders with the elite, while paying politicians on both sides of the establishment "the ultimate outsider"?

I don't think republicans will vote Hillary over Trump, even if they hate Trump. Most of your pure Trump haters are Liberals who would never vote for a Republican

    What?

Hilary was born into a Republican household, but it was civil rights that moved her to the Dems as a teen.

But you must be right, she's a KKK supporter. That's why she has the black vote nailed.

    Watergate. Etc.
Watergate? Is this some kind of parody post?

she can't even win against a socialist who wouldn't have a shot in hell given real competition!
I don't see the appeal of the Trump "I'm a winner, you are a loser" rhetoric, as it has just reached its logical conclusion of making the Republican nomination a dick measuring contest. But whatever. Hilary's won against Bernie already.

Scandals don't seem to be effecting Hillary's campaign all that much.

Personally, I think Trumps best chance is if socialist voters stop caring about the election after Bernie is knocked out.

From what i've read on here. Clinton has the black and hispanic vote. Probably enough coupled with her white voters to win the election regardless of opposition. But i'm honestly puzzled with this Trump support, "he's not as bad" is not enough for me, vote blank if you really want to protest.
